How can they NOT entertain offers for Donny, Bumbles and Noot?
The least Mo can do is listen (re: entertain) to what they might bring.
He can't be gone soon enough.
Put a good return on the offer and then let them go. If they get desperate you get it. Not willing to even just list the offer to the desperate..what does that cost lol
Just send Mo home, he should've never been allowed to handle this trading deadline.

Hes a worthless idiot. So dang lazy.
Sooooooooo lazy, how can you not "entertain" offers for almost any player on the ML roster (sans maybe I. Hererra and Libby?).

This clears up all questions about how much say Bloom has in this team's decision-making right now.
no it doesn't - some are saying he was in on the Matz trade

Sorry, but blaming this all on Mo is silly. I'm sure ownership has an interest in trying to make sure that the current team doesn't get so bad that people stop showing up at the ballpark. Same reason that they wouldn't commit to a rebuild in the past or even admit during their press conference last offseason that they'd be reducing payroll until Mo interrupted them and said that they would.
Keep in mind that I agree that it's stupid not to consider trading those guys if you can get something that will improve the team in the future, even if it takes a year or two. But it just doesn't make sense to put the blame solely in Mo.

I know it rained a little bit but did you see how many showed up last night? I honestly don't see how attendance could get any worse.
Ironically, I could almost bet that if both Mo and Oli were gone today, attendance would start increasing tomorrow simply because people would begin to have faith again without those 2 steering the trainwreck. lol

Don't be fooled by "tickets sold" ronnie.
I'm there for almost 3/4 games played and the place is EMPTY, last night was a joke.
I haven't seen anything like this since the late 70's when I was a kid.

Made sense as Bloom was with Boston when they drafted Blaze Jordan in Round 3 . I have no more inside than anyone else on here but maybe Mo worked on the Helsley deal simultaneously with Bloom doing the Matz trade due to his familiarity with Boston.

Maybe. But desperately clinging to nootbaar, etc. That's all Mo.

Bloom should have taken control of this team at the latest July 1st. Leaving Mo in charge to the end of season was a huge mistake

Pretty clear that Mo was in a no-win position here. If he traded more guys away today (besides the expiring contracts ) , I have a feeling he still would have been highly criticized for being 'fleeced' in the deals for a Donovan, Burly, and Nootbaar.
So he was damned if he SOLD more or Damned if he didn't sell enough.

They love being middle of the pack nowadays. Zero creativity from the front office. Either fully go all in or fully sell for once. This organization is just so poorly ran.
What does fully sell even look like, assumming correctly that NTCs will Not be waived in the end?
Who do we get back and does that make us better than the loss of players still under control from this sale?

Cards need to trade several players they have a log jam between AAA and majors of similar players.
They wait until these players have no value.
so you think it is for sure that if they traded donny and burly and noot they get better players?...stop already...if a trade is offered that improves the team you do it but to trade just to say you made a trade is kind of stupid

If he is a bad GM/POBO thats no ones fault but his own, he has overstayed his welcome

At this point, its just whining for the sake of whining.
