The Royals announced that veteran southpaw Rich Hill has been designated for assignment. The move opens up roster space for right-hander Thomas Hatch, whose contract has been selected from Triple-A Omaha.

Did you notice that Hill started against the Braves last night? He lasted four innings and gave up four runs, allowing 2 homers and six walks. That level of performance makes the decision easy for the Royals. Of course, given Atlanta's lack of starters and their wish to keep their kids from getting shell-shocked, he may be a Brave while I'm typing this.

Honestly, the Braves made need arms for some innings.
Obviously they shouldn't be making any big moves with that [shirt]ty record.
