Hope he raps better than he hits
I didn't know the lad rapped. I asked Gemini to give me a sample. Here's the chorus:

Victor Scott, oh man, the bat is just a prop
Got wheels on the basepaths, but the hitting's gonna flop.
We need some RBIs, some dingers, somethin' strong
But with that lumber in his hands, it's just a lonely song.

Vic needs to learn how to bunt. With his tremendous speed he could beat out many bunts for hits.

This org is unparalleled in its ability to create players of no value…..and they try so hard to brainwash those craving a real players that he’s just around the corner and requires more seasoning.

Last 30 games Arenado is hitting .218.

And a mighty 10 HRs for the year. But hey, it's more than Oldy's 8. Quite the slugging duo these days.

Seems like it's about time to provide a tryout in CF for Nathan Church.

Vic and Church played in Peoria together in 2023.

.282/.365/.398/.763 (Vic)
.279/.364/.360/.724 (Church)

Vic has eerily similar numbers between AAA and MLB in his career.

.210/.294/.303/.597 (AAA)
.212/.285/.309/.593 (MLB)

Church this season...

.336/.380/.563/.943 (AA)
.333/.404/.551/.955 (AAA)

Needs Ozzie to talk to him next spring when he's down there.

Teach him how to hit down on the ball like Ozzie did and utilize that great speed.

Also teach the kid how to BUNT!

With his speed he could easily get 10+ bunt hits a season adding more SB's and hopefully runs.

After making a catch…..he freezes….after running bases or sliding he’ll freeze
Just play ball……

Seems like a good kid GF, I think he's just trying to find his way right now.

BTW, I was there last night did you guys on TV see how far VSII ran on that first flyball to Ivan in LF?

Laughed my a z z off to see the speedy CFer racing behind Ivan in case he misjudged the ball.

20+ points of BA/OBP. It's silly to leave that on the table. Plus, it just seems like they don't utilize his speed as an offensive threat. I realize that you have to get on base first, but someone compared him to Billy Hamilton in one of the other threads. When he was on base, he occupied the defense's attention.
VSII still has less than 500 career ABs. They used to say that you couldn't really tell who someone was until about 1500 ABs.

He seems to strike out a bit- about 4-1 K/BB. Then the pop out. Then the ground out to second.

Two hits shy of 100 for career.

Weird that Bader, Pham, Piscotty and Grichik have had long MLB careers. Made some very good bank doing it too

That’s about the time Melville wanted him at leadoff. Another miss
