Never said he did not get an injection.
Simply said, if needed and scheduled for daily playing time, he would be available.
STL admitted stashing Walker for an extended time in the minors well after he was healthy enough to play.
They were buying time.
Which is what is going on today with Gorman.

Gorman back will be magically healed and healthy on the very day the roster says so.

Since they’re not chasing a WS, Herreras defensive abilities behind the plate don’t matter as much as getting Gorman 200 more ABs. This way, Gorman can DH, Donovan plays 2B, Walker plays RF and either Burleson or Noot ends up getting traded, either at the deadline or in the offseason. Noot could also play some CF. Neither the nor Scott have been all that good. Neither deserves to start ever day.
