Victor Scott was always a two-tool player. He currently has two tools. Maybe some day he's going to be able to hit for average, but not yet.
Walker was supposed to be a 5-tool player. He currently has no tools.
He has the arm still. Still a cannon
That's fair.

Meville wanted him at leadoff earlier. Another whiff on his part

Scott’s solid for what he is. He’s holding his own as a ninth place hitter and good defensive center fielder. He will steal 30 plus bases and score 60+ runs and there is room for improvement I’ll take that any day from the 9 hitter. I would rather keep him in center and pick up a power hitter for the corners. I certainly wouldn’t give up on him and expect church to come up and be the savior he would have a slump and people would start yelling to dump him also. The problem is people saw him hit well in spring training last year and were armchair scouts and decided he was ready to skip AA and go straight to the majors and steal 100 bases because they could tell he has a sweet swing. Same thing this spring. He’s doing a solid job for what he is I don’t mind them bringing up church and giving him some playing time at all three outfield positions but to dump Scott for church would be dumb

Because his defense is gold glove caliber worthy and once he does get on base he at least does something with his speed.
Walker sucks at offense and defense and is slow with no base stealing ability

This team will never go anywhere with as outfield of Walker, Scott and Nootbaar, These guys all need to go. Maybe when they trade Helsley, Maton and Matz they can throw them in on the trades and maybe get some decent outfield talent

I’ve posted VSII’s MLB, minors and college stats several times. He didn’t hit at any level so don’t expect that to change.

A ball spins and Victor is mesmerized and swings and misses. That must improve.
