Sure I get it. I enjoy listening to all the Cardinals organization's games. Right on topic. You refer to Cardinal games. There are really fun to follow games up and down the Cardinals system.OldRed wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 11:48 amYou just don't get. It was about the 2025 Cardinals I'm watching. Had nothing to do with the future or the minor leagues.Cranny wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 11:46 amIf all you follow is the major league club, and you don't follow the minors, you have no idea of what the future might bring.OldRed wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 11:18 amYes, it was hi-jacked in the second post that nothing to do with watching the 2025 Cardinals.
Sitting back and waiting for trades or FA signings, which will only fill a few holes at best, is very limiting. The majority of the future has to come from the Cardinals own prospect development. This thread isn't "highjacked", it's just expanded into the entire Cardinals world, in order to see the whole picture.
Start your own thread if you want to talk about the minors and how you enjoy following the younger players, but don't hi-jack one that nothing to do with your love for the minors.

Still enjoy going (many benefits including easy parking, short lines, plenty of open space, ect...) but I'm not getting my money's worth (use my season tix to promote my company) like I have in the past.
But any night at the ball park is still a good night.

Re: I still enjoy watching or listening to Cardinal games
You would assume that anyone posting on this thread would want to discuss the 2025 Cardinals. Instead of hijacking the thread with their own agenda...very strange.OldRed wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 11:18 amYes, it was hi-jacked in the second post that nothing to do with watching the 2025 Cardinals.

Little old trolls who have been warned, should be very careful.

Thanks very much, JDW. But I don't go around following another poster like a little puppy dog, constantly making oblique comments about them. Follow the bouncing ball and you'll see. Not that it's any of your business. By the way, if you don't care for what I post, please use the ignore function. Again, thanks.

I can honestly and clearly state.
I would need to go back to the early 1970's to find a Season in which I have watched or listened to less Cardinal Baseball than this season.
Not proud nor happy about it.
Yet, determined to withhold any form of monetary support until such time as an Ownership Change takes place.

I feel your pain . I'm part of a season tix group in Section 148 and it's getting difficult to give away tix when we can't go...but the front office (donkey) kissers will get (upset) if you say anything against DeTwit and Mo-ran...attendance in my section is down 50%Dazepster wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 14:57 pm I can honestly and clearly state.

Here's your further proof, JDW.

Same here; there's just something "lazy summer night" about having the radio/PED on and hearing the PBP of a ballgame. Many times I have no idea at the moment who's winning or what the score is...I just enjoy hearing the baseball chat. Many times when Buck and Shannon worked games, the best part was a rain delay, which allowed Jack and Mike to just riff.BrummerStealsHome wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 12:03 pmI'm with you, OldRed. I especially enjoy listening when I'm out on the property doing work. My wife knows that every Friday night I'll be out on my tractor with a cold beer and the Cardinals game on. It's one of those joys in life that remain even when the team isn't doing well.
When I was a kid growing up in Walnut Park I'd take my radio outside under the street light with a bat, and for every batter coming up I'd assume his stance, and impersonate the windup of the pitcher. The neighbors wondered "What's wrong with that boy?".

Yes, and you can get a good six-pack for the bucks you’d pay for one beer at Busch III.Horseradish wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 16:31 pmMan that does sound nice, I can almost taste the cold beer!BrummerStealsHome wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025 12:03 pmI'm with you, OldRed. Good post, OR. I sure do as well and summer just wouldn't be the same without the Cards, win or lose.
