Ideally, somehow, get Gray, Arenado and Contreras to waive their NTCs. At least list the teams they'd accept a trade to. Like Arenado did. Actually, get him to expand that. Along with moving Helsley, Fedde and Nootbaar. Then build for the future. I wouldn't mind hanging on to Contreras through his contract, however, if Mo could get a very good return for him, Burleson would be fine at 1B for a few years.
one! LOL.
I agree with you. Overall fan perception does mean something to them, and this is a tiny fraction of it.Cranny wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 13:33 pmThis forum means nothing to those in charge.zbasspro wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 13:29 pmI would guess they have someone monitoring most social media sites to gauge fan perception. I’ll disagree a bit. All high level orgs have a public relations section. One of their jobs is to get info out to the public reference said org. Another is to monitor the public’s reaction. How else would you know if they were effective?Cranny wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 13:33 pmThis forum means nothing to those in charge.zbasspro wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 13:29 pmI would guess they have someone monitoring most social media sites to gauge fan perception. Considering the Cardinals’ public image over the last few years has fallen off a cliff, they might want to try a different approach.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 13:39 pmI’ll disagree a bit. The degree of involvement is the point here.
I assure you they track what the public thinks about their performance as an org based predominantly on player performance. Then they want to know their reaction to monies and deals. Why not, gotta measure your efforts somehow.desertrat23 wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 13:46 pmConsidering the Cardinals’ public image over the last few years has fallen off a cliff, they might want to try a different approach.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 13:39 pmI’ll disagree a bit. I'm with you and Cranny. The lunatic fringe is not the best source for a small sample. Ticket sales say a lot...CT irrelevant.zbasspro wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 13:35 pmI agree with you. For sure, it’s just there is a general negative sentiment here every year. The normal, less obsessive fanbase seems to have caught up. I wouldn’t use the diehards as a reliable demographic.desertrat23 wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 14:19 pmI dunno…ticket sales seem to be aligning with the overwhelming sentiment around here.CorneliusWolfe wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 14:09 pmI'm with you and Cranny. There are many other marketing ways to get fan reaction besides this little forum.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 13:39 pmI’ll disagree a bit. What are these other marketing venues that will produce a fan reaction board, and it may be a little forum, but it still gets a look. That’s my point. If he checks out CT, he needs his head examined. But at least the glories of you getting attention remains life affirming.Shady wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025 10:31 am https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/so ... b646&ei=10
