1st time in 10 years have not attended at least one game of Card series in Colorado. High altitude (+10,000 ft) camping - does not get any better. IF you ever get the opportunity to high altitude camp - get a buzz on and hope to watch one of Elon Musk "satellite trains" move across the sky. Freaky and awesome at same time.
The thought of Mikolas and/or Fredde makes it even palatable not attending. Do miss the occasional foray to Lo Do and the night life and adult beverages.
I didn't plan to be here when the Cards came to town. Visiting with the in-laws, and the got us Cards tickets. Just kind of an happy accident. Emphasis on "accident" given the past two games!
We're in Boulder for the week, and we saw Lucinda Williams at the Chippaqua (I think that's how it's spelled?) last night. Great venue, and a great band.

Mo is from Colorado.
Send him up Mt. Evans and leave him there!
My better half is from Boulder, where Mozo's from. She looked up the high school that he went to and said--and I quote--"figures" when she saw what school he went to. Apparently it was the school for the rich "don't you know who my dad is" kids.

Would that be the official nail in the coffin? Rock bottom? No pun
Some would argue that its already happened, but this would just be an absolute gut punch haha
The gut punch was getting swept by the pirates then humiliated twice by the Cubs. That was the killing blow to the season. Everything else just follows. Just waiting for the corpse to stop twitching.
The Braves (and Pirates) sweeps were worse than the Cubs losses. At least they’re good and we won some of the games.

Probably the same smug Mo then as he is now.
Well, I can tell you this. I haven't gotten any more smug than I was when I was in high school, so I think that's a fair assumption.
It’s a blessing in disguise. For the third straight season, I’ve found myself saying it has to get worse before it gets better. Lopsided losses - especially on national TV - are a good thing. Series losses to teams like the ‘24 White Sox and the ‘25 Rockies will damage the brand enough to incite change.
We’ve (finally) seen it affect attendance and that’s the only thing that will grab the attention of ownership. You better believe DeWitt sees that even the Redbird Express Grammies have stopped showing up.
If the org wants to gain some positive PR, it would reassign Mozeliak to special projects and let Bloom navigate the trade deadline. The bungling of Erick Fedde should’ve been the last straw.
I keep hoping when it looks like they have hit rock bottom. Then it never happens, and they go even lower, but it still never happens. He will not be gone until MO is no longer in charge.
