This is the first time Mailloux and grit have ever been used in the same sentence. 13x’s the opposition scored in the last minute of a period or game in 24-25. The Blues needed another Tyler Tucker. They acquired Tanya Tucker instead.
Lol Tanya Tucker you're and idiot get more hockey knowledge then come back

Rob Ramage and the Habs Atlantic beat writer disagree with you
You are correct. Ramage has emphasized his physicality, effort, compete. He quite possibly knows more about the Canadiens' youngsters' makeup and mentality than anyone else. That's what his job with them is all about. And other writers, scouts have also pointed it out. Sure, he's young needs to make better decisions consistently, but that will come with experience.
He's ready to play now I think a lot of us have mentioned fans are going to see d zone mistakes, dumb penalties etc there will be growing pains. Kid is a great situation with Mike Weber Al MacInnis and others for mentorship. I'm ready to allow LM a 100 NHL games before I judge too harshly. My prediction is by the time the kid in his mid 20's he's a fan favorite top 4 fixture on this team.

You know that Bolduc jersey that you have? Goodwill is open today at 10 am.

I would tell you what to replace it with, but Army is keen on using our prospects to get what we will never get in the draft -- because you need a TOP5 for that. Maybe get your new jersey with the name "Trade Bait" on it. That guy will be around for the next 10 for sure.
Yet, when I ask you how you propose getting a top five pick you can’t give a path to get it. Why continue griping for something you know is impossible to do?

 Cardinal Red7 is prolly pissy from following the Cards for the past 14 years or so. He certainly missed the Mailloux interview in which he stated that he tries to get in at least 3 fights a season and likes to have a little snarl to his game (nearly his exact words). He said something he learned from Ramage was to get involved physically (somehow, even taking a big hit) early in the game to get 'into' the game.

I think this guy could be a fan favorite with the style of play he brings. Booming 100mph shot from the point, plays with a bit of snarl, fights...

And people like you told us Broberg was a third liner and Holloway was a press boxer. Around and around it goes.

That pivot from worrying about which jersey kids would be buying to everyone all of a sudden having a bolduc one sure happened fast, you dork.
I actually heard Bolduc's Blues jersey is going straight from his back into the rafters. He's just that amazing.

This teams not a contender right now but it is set up to be a contender in the near future and for years to come. It all hinges on whether the kids all pan out. If the kids all reach the potential we all hope the Blues should be a contender in the next 2 to 3 years. They need Snuggy, DD, Jiricek and Lindstein to all make the transition up to the NHL. By then Thomas, Kyrou, Holloway, Broberg, Parayko, Neighbours will all still be in their primes. Parayko will be ready for one last push as a #1 before he starts dropping down the line up. I like the team direction right now. I think the team is in pretty good shape moving forward.

hockey jedi wrote: 13 Jul 2025 00:36 am I've been a Blues fan since 1967. I can easily state that the Blues have never had this kind of organizational depth. We are trending up. The Blues will be regular attendees in the playoffs for many years. We deserved to make the playoffs last year. It wasn't a fluke. The Blues played really good hockey for two months. I agree Lets Clinch. With a healthy Holloway, we win two playoff series. We should have won one series without him. These weren't one goal games. We spanked Winnipeg in our three wins. He added a dynamic that we didn't have in the playoffs.
Best young depth for the next ten years...if they keep picking good, much longer. None are top 10 right now and most are 15 to 25. Let's see what Steen has in mind...

Our D depth especially this year if injuries hit is a major concern. Two years ago Parayko was a whipping boy here while as it turns out he was playing hurt. He goes down or one of the top 4 we are in a whole heap of trouble. Armey know this (hence the persistent Byram talk).

They aren’t moving Faulk or Broberg to 3rd pairing (if they traded for Byram).

If you believe DA & Company had GOOD REASON to make the Mailloux for Bolduc trade, like truly, then you might as well relax to find out.

If you believe they were fooled, or goaded or somehow sucked into it on their own end then yeah....I'd be very nervous right now.

There might not be certainty on all of this, but there certainly is likely hood.

Pretty much the same with the rest of it. The staff is either good and accurate and have done the right work on most of the players or they have missed their assignments and evaluations and have blown most of their picks.

DA and his entire staff will be the reason this team goes far or not. I am liking the odds for a very good run and i am not nervous.

You got that just a little wrong. Bolduc's jersey is heading to Montreal's rafters. Whenever Army trades away a player, Cups happen next for those guys.

I recommend asking yourself why this happened.

Answer: Montreal wanted Bolduc for the same reasons that the fans love him. Army has been attempting to land an elite RHD since Petro left. There is. generally no way to ever get an elIte RHD when you draft after 10. So because of that circumstance, Bolduc is gone. Bolduc is a casualty of not having a TOP 5 pick.
