Why would anyone trade high for a guy like Fedde who at 32 is coming off a career year? No one. The only way the Cardinals were going to get value for Fedde was if he came back this year and repeated his 2024 performance. You guys not only think you’re smarter than Mo, you think you’re smarter than the other 29 GM’s as well.

Like others have said, they will keep pitching Mikolas and Fedde hoping they string a few good starts together. Even if they don’t get anything in return for them they want to at least dump their contracts so they can save money. Mikolas has a NTC so he might not be traded. If they dfa them they still have to pay them.
Personally, I would use them as piggyback SP in the same game and give McGreevy the start in the other spot. At least that way you can still try to trade them but that way they are only affecting one game out of five versus two out of five.

They’d still have to pay Mikolas, even if traded. No one is taking him and his contract. Fact is, no one is taking him.

And yet many industry insiders thought they could get something last December and were surprised STL didn't move him. But I'm sure you know better.
