I agree pozo should catch but only because pages is a weak bat. The "dangers of using backup cazcher at dh" are overblown. We did it with herrera and contreras several times last year before pages came up with minimal problems.

If you have to lose the dh you lose the dh. Unless pages goes down in the first inning, you just have to maybe pinch hit 1 or 2 times if it even happens at all.

Also contreras still knows how to catch im sure.

Didn't Snoot just hit his team leading 12th HR?

+1 Contreras could catch for a couple of innings and still be able to block the ball better than pages

4 LH bats against the LHP? And when you can't really argue against it, there is a roster problem.

The roster problem is they don't have better LH bats.

What would it hurt if you lost your DH? And what would hurt if Contreras had to catch an inning?
yea, this is the most super overhyped worry of nothingness. used to be burn the one backup as a pinch hitter late in the game, which they would do occasionally and no emergency catcher ever got used, and so what if you were losing anyway in the 8th? Now its still a problem if you have 3 catchers in the lineup lol This is the team that hit Fermin at DH recently right lol
It was a very, very long time ago
that teams had to pinch hit for pitchers.
Maybe it is still on YouTube somewhere.

It shows how they have more confidence in Pages catching. Plus I’m sure they want a right hand bat at DH. Not sure who that would be besides Pozo. WC could fill in if needed.
