2 more starters on the Cups of the 600 OPS team... everyone's favorite, Winn and Snoot

Liberatore needs to send a message early.

First batter first pitch knocking someone off the plate.

In other words, I'm not putting up with that [shirt] our gutless pitcher did yesterday.

A better Manager may have given thought to starting Pozo (.321 .325 .462 .787) on a team that's as offensively challenged lately as the Cardinals instead of Pages (.217 .268 .353 .621) but not Oli.
POZO sucks at throwing out base stealers...he's not Ivan horrible but he's working on it
16% vs 27.7% for Pages

But when balls are going over the wall like they were yesterday, who needs a throwing catcher w/a .621 OPS?

But Mikolas didn't shake off Pages 1 time yesterday! That's what's most important!

No doubt Pages has some solid value behind the plate, his catcher ERA is superior for sure.

But when the teams in a scoring rut like this bunch has been for the past four games, why not give Pages a day off and get some offense behind the plate in the game you have the best shot at winning w/Libby?

NADO scratched per Denton

One of the most shocking things from the #Cubs record-setting eight-HR day on Saturday was the fact that the wind wasn’t a factor and wasn’t blowing at all.

This morning, however, it’s been blowing out to CF and RF. More fireworks today for the #STLCards and #Cubs ?

If the Cardinals don't win today it's a TKO. Game over. Sellers at deadline. Fedde going tomorrow to boot.

Why is Gorman at 2nd and Saggese at 3rd?

I thought Gorman was the heir apparent at 3rd?

::crazya::

YES!

No B. Thompson today! :D :D

No idea. Gorman should be at 3b unless they have a plan to play Saggese over Gorman there long-term (if Nado is gone and Gorman continues to be a AAAA player - .213/.306/.388/.693 and poor defense, plus he's slow).

Gorman at DH, Donovan at 2B, Saggese at 3B.

Keeps changing, Cards site had it different 20 mins ago.

That said, Gorman needs the reps at 3rd IF he's the heir apparent.

That's supposedly what this runway season is for, guys like Gorman to get reps at 3rd when NADO is out.

Oh well

GO CARDS!

Saggese since his callup:

0 HR
0 RBI
.077 .077 .077 .154

And he hits 5th because he's a righty? ::crazya::

(Trying to jinx myself, hope he hits a pair of HR's today  )

If we weren't so offensively challenged Winn would be way down on my list to bat second.
