Why wait? Pay him to go home or pay him to lose? Easy one.
Doubtful Mo will release Mikolas because he knows that some people will ask why did he give a batting practice pitcher a extension in the first place.
Worst part is...why should Mo care? He's effectively done at the end of the month anyway.

Disastrous start. That was a pitiful performance. Mikolas needs to be removed from the rotation. Fedde should not be far behind. (bleep) on Mo and his ridiculous roster construction, dumb[ash] talent evaluation, and terrible contract extensions. What a putz.

Won’t release him.
Send him to the BP and dump him at the deadline
eating as little $$ as possible.
McGreevy to the rotation.
And why would another team trade for him?
They won’t. There is zero reason to not release him. If you aren’t, move him to the pen to only pitch in blowouts and give McGreevy a chance.
Happy I skipped this mess to work on building our deck.

If you get your wish and he is released today, what would you like to do about the lineup that only has 1 hit through the first 8 innings? Release them too?
You get released! And, you get released! Everybody gets released!
Indeed pitching was awful, but offense was equally awful.
They got nuthin'.

They won't release him. They can't trade him. They can't pitch him.
Isn't there somewhere you hurt, Miles?
Yup. I suspect a doctor is about to diagnose him with forearm tightness caused by an inflamed ERA.
An inflamed ERA ?
ERA= Especially Ridiculous Arm
Quite serious

What gets me is the fact that he has had exactly one good winning season and makes 18 million now.

Bloom has a lot of work to do this winter. The team needs starting pitching, a reliever (possibly closer), and at least one big bat. That's the roster work. Then he must decide on the manager and coaching staff.
Hopefully, Bloom realizes the offseason is for improving your team. Mo has treated it like an extended vacation from November to March.

Who is going to eat all those innings? He just went six.
Anybody. My grandmother is dead and I'd give her a shot.

I have Apple TV, but didn’t want to take a break from the build. I was planning to watch it later, but my son who has a short attention span (GenZ) has to know the score immediately and told me not to bother. Normally I watch games from the start after they started when I have time. He hates not being in live time.

When does the "reset" for DeWallet family, FO, and manager begin. Seems as though they are just doing the same thing over and over and expecting ............... you all know the rest.
Mikolas current situation is prime time to show the fans that ownership down to Marmot are into reset process and will start doing their jobs and not worried about pennies.
