If we move a prospect or young player it’s likely one of our wingers.

I agree with you. However, what other team's want plays into it. I like Lindstein a lot, so I'm guessing other teams do as well.

Hopefully, we get to keep Lindstein. It would be great if we lost from surplus versus a D man.
The Blues don't "get to keep" Lindstein, they would have to AGREE to trade him or any other prospect under their control.

Best not to fall in love with ANY prospect, any one could be trade fodder for immediate help.

It's too early to call, but I think the Blues plans are to have Broberg and Lindstein as their top 2 LD in 2 years.

In the early 90's that was true of almost anyone not named Hull. In 1993, my girlfriend (now my wife of almost 30 years) bought me my first jersey for my 20th birthday. It was a white CCM, game weight but no straps. It was plain. I finally decided to take it to get it lettered and numbered #21 Jeff Brown. They traded him, I considered again and wanted #39 Kelly Chase. Waived and claimed by Hartford. Decided again on #19 Brendan Shanahan. Traded to Hartford. By that time I decided not to do anything with it. It's still blank and my oldest daughter has it now.

As an aside, it's killing me I can't remember. What's the name of the Crestwood sporting goods store that used to do letters and numbers for the Blues? I had my sister's Joseph jersey done there for her and now can't think of it for the life of me.

I think the answer is whoever the other team really wants that we have lol
Both Bolduc and Neighbors proved to be players the Jets ... and their fans ... positively hated. I can move other players before I move them.
Neighbours is someone I want to be a career Blue
Growing up, people always told him he wasn’t going to make it. When asked what else he wanted to do … he always said nothing I’m making the NHL. People who know him talk about how hockey is everything to him. He’s a good story and sounds like a cool, grounded person.
When I read about how this kid learned sign language so that the impoverished, deaf single mother of his best friend would not be excluded from their conversations, I understood how really special he is and why he is always talked about as mature beyond his years. I have not settled on which jersey version but his is the next one I am getting. It's cool you have that connection. If you do interact with him tell him Blues fans respect the hell out of him.
Will do. Might grab a lunch this summer with them. I didn’t like Jake as much before I started to hear more about him from this guy. I like when you’re not high on someone and that changes. Watching him on the bench was my favorite part of that series…He’s such a child in a good way
This is hilarious in so many ways. You really mess yourself over this kid, don’t you.

I'm thinking that they need to get a young Cam Fowler. Is that strength/skills of Broberg or Lindstein?

Well both skate so well like Cam, but Cam is listed at 6'2". Lindstein at 6'1", Broberg 6'4". People rave about Lindstein's skating, composure and great first pass. The Blues just announced him coming over to the Ahl this year ... so I don't think they are looking to move him unless a deal shows up that they can't refuse.

Great. I hope that that is how it plays out.

I remember reading an article about 6 months ago that downplayed Lindstein's contributions to offense. They told the fans not to expect too much in Goals or Assists. This sorta contradicted what the Blues drafted him for (I thought), but I still like the kid--even if he is 95% defense.

I also read that when he was put in position to be a playmaker and more involved in offense he was more than capable of doing that. It sounded like it depended on who his D partner was as to what role he would play.

It doesn’t always show up on the stat sheet, but a guy like Lindstein can be an offensive contributor if he can get a loose puck, take the puck away from the other team, and be able to KEEP the puck once he has it. One problem the Blues offense has had the last few years is that their forwards have to spend too much time deep in their own zone having to help the defense just get or keep the puck. By the time they DO get the puck out of the zone, all they can do is chip it in and head for a change.

Totally agree on this.

It's looking less like we will be trading any of our prospects. That's great.
