a bit OT but I didn't think it deserved its own thread:
Infielder/outfielder Jose Barrero, who was recently designated for assignment by the Cardinals, went unclaimed on waivers and has rejected an outright assignment in favor of free agency, MLBTR has learned. Barrero will explore opportunities around the league but also has interest from at least one team in Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball and is weighing whether to pursue an overseas opportunity.
He should go over to Japan and learn how to pitch. Mo would sign him for his retirement softball league in a year or two.

Sounds like getting paid pretty dang well (better than he was being paid here) to go live in Japan and play baseball sounds pretty awesome. A young guy in Japan living the dream. If he likes Japanese food it sounds like a great place to spend a year or two. And, even if he is a picky eater finding food he likes will be his biggest challenge whilst making more money than most ppl.
Good luck young man!

GO CARDS!!!!
We need Donnie and Burley to step it up, they've been struggling a bit the last 7 games. Glad that Noot is back on track, I hope that Oli doesn't continue this platoon LH/RH thing with him.

Ha. The get a gift when the ump makes the wrong call and Cleveland benefits whe Winn grounds into DP.
Another gift when the pitcher misplays the grounder and again - don’t take advantage.
This is a baaad slump

I wonder if the Cards got HR drunk with the flurry of 7 HRs and 16 runs in 9 innings against the Cubs.

Apple TV makes it not worth it. You have to go though all kinds of security check and type in passwords hope you wrote all your pass words down and what they are for. no Apple.
