Indeed. Today when he pulled McGreevy early all I could think of was, gee, double header, save pen, starter is cruising. Typical Marmol bonehead move. He is not a good manager and most of us have know this for several years. I hope this is his last season....
Such decisions are not made by Oli alone. They are made by a collaborative group made up of Oli, the numbers geek, Mo, the medical staff and maybe the pitching coaches. Oli’s job is to execute the decisions made through this collaboration and then defend it to the media.
