Do you think there's a chance Brzustewicz is still there when we pick? Seems like a guy we'd target.

He will almost certainly be there. He’s projected to go late 1st or the 2nd. It’d be a reach to take him at 19…but that’s where I value him. Totally possible I'm overvaluing him but I just put the list in the order I see it.

Thanks MN, good stuff. This year seems particularly difficult to rank 16 to 32 or 40. I appreciate the thought you put into this.

I'm just about all in for Brzustewicz. If the Blues had a 2nd rounder, maybe wait it out. But with just the first rounder, he seems like a sure pick.

Very very nice, I love it. We are close on some key things. I agree with the analysis those 13 won't be available. I am also not setting mine up as a mock draft but more like two rankings, the ranking of the unavailable 13 in the order I would want them to fall to the Blues if we got lucky, and then the ranking of everyone else who MAY be available in the order I want them. My delay is finalizing the bottom part of my list.

My main 5 guys though are Bear, Carbonneau, Reschny, Brzustevich and Hensler
First three may (should?) all be gone by pick 19

I think Kindel could be in play at 19 but I’m sticking to my guns….Blues draft Blake Fiddler
IF I WAS GM (I know, I know), Reschny is the one kid I trade up in the 10-14 range to grab, even if that includes trading a good prospect to make happen (ala Bokk to nab Tarasenko).

Regarding Fiddler, I guess I rate him a bit higher than most, only because the game the Oil play is make or break (I think there looking for a new coach). The kid gets dinked a bit for consistency, but to be honest I'm a bit impressed by how many times he was left in no-mans land or no-win scenarios and came out on top. That said, he's a minimum three years before he sniffs the NHL.

I would be OK with him as a pick, as long as Reschny wasn't still on the board.

Yeah, Reschny reminds me of Schwartz so much, except he’s a little taller and plays C. Agree he’s unlikely to be there at 19 but he’s my hope. And agree Kindel is a pretty similar player. I think he’s being overlooked by some a bit. I’d be good with him. At least he shoots right.

It was Rundblad for Tarasenko actually. Bokk went with Edmundson to Carolina for Faulk.

But agree about Reschny. I’d be willing to move up for him.

Kindel and Spence are right there for me after the group of 5 I mentioned. I think Spence is going to be available and I'm not 100% sure how I feel about him. He came in at the combine 6'0.75 instead of 6'2 and seems like he has a middle six ceiling but he's pretty safe.

Appreciate the kind words. And looking forward to seeing your list. Interesting format but makes sense.

And yeah, my guess is all 3 of those guys individually have a pretty low chance of being available at 19. But the odds of 1 of the 3 still being there? Still not great but better IMO.

Yeah, Spence’s listed height never matched the eye test IMO. He’s still not small though…but in all the combine measurements I saw, he’s the one that lied/rounded up the most.

I don’t really see him as having 2nd line caliber skill. But he’s competitive as heck. I see a pretty safe 3LW. We already have a lot of prospects that project to be a good 3LW so that makes me value Spence a bit less. But he is good and I think one of the safer bets in that range. Interested to see how he does as a Wolverine next season.

From reading the descriptions posted from the various draft services this was my choice to. I also think he is going to go much higher then 19. People were raving about him and writing things akin to he may go a lot higher then I have projected...well duh.

I think there is a real good chance that Montreal grabs Fiddler at 16 or 17.

I bet Montreal is in play for a move-up, depending now the draft falls. If the player the Blues want is at 16, Army's over there striking a deal.

Hopefully. That’d mean a better player was passed and left for us.
