Re: John Tavares
Everything I have read….the prognosticators are saying he probably goes back to Toronto and gives them a large hometown discount to do it.
If he signs somewhere else, my guess is it’s 3 yrs at 9 million per.
I like the guy…but it’s a hard pass for me.

I think with Rossi it isn’t they don’t have the money, it’s that they don’t think he’s worth what he wants. Tavares will be lower term for sure and they have no more dead capIsDurbanodoingtime wrote: ↑18 Jun 2025 19:52 pmReally? Guerin does not want tovpay Rossi. Why would he pony up more for Taveras? They need space to sign Kaprizov. Don't see that.

Re: John Tavares
Yeah, everything I've read suggests the rift is with Rossi being an undersized center, not with the concept of paying a center. Rossi was publicly unhappy with his limited usage in the playoffs, which is never a good sign headed into a contract negotiation.MiamiLaw wrote: ↑18 Jun 2025 20:21 pmI think with Rossi it isn’t they don’t have the money, it’s that they don’t think he’s worth what he wants.
