I think the OP means concerts after games, not concerts at the stadium when the team is out of town (like MCR at Dodger Stadium or Billy Joel at Yankee Stadium.)

If you have to drag folks to the ballpark with some bro-country act, not a great sign…

Which also isn’t exclusive to the Cards. Another poster mentioned that the brewers had concerts after their games for an entire series. It’s how teams boost attendance regardless of whether they’re having a good season.

Teams do it, even if they're having a good season. It means nothing.

Isn’t the point that the Cardinals never needed these gimmicks in the past?

Why do you turn everything into a negative about the Cardinals?

Maybe because it’s an organization that’s lost its way, and I don’t think they even realize it?

And not everything. They’re winning tonight.

Why do you turn everything into a positive about the Cardinals?

Define “the past”. They’ve had downturns that are worse than this and yeah, they had gimmicky ways to get fans in. Do you expect them to not try to make money when losing? Would it be ok if they were in first place?

Because they've won 90 or more games in 3 out of the last 5 full seasons. It's not as horrible as many posters say it is.

One playoff win in that time. That’s what matters.

We used to be good, really good. We used to have all star players and a hall of fame manager.
And we used to have an owner driven to field a World Series contender.

This board never had the opinion the owner was driven to field a World Series contender... even when it was fielding world series contenders.

How did their big ticket guys do in the playoffs last time? Something like 1 out of 13?
