His contract is up after this season and he has shown no signs of improving as a manager.
The clown show has to absolutely stop and get a real manager in here.

Re: Will Bloom seek new manager for 2026?
I posted it in another thread, but I’ll post it here, too. I think the Pujols/Molina names will have a strong influence, but other than them maybe a couple names to keep an eye on are:
Chad Tracy, he’s been with the Red Sox for the last 4 years as their AAA manager and given the young prospects they’ve had come up in that time and the Bloom connections I’d at least think maybe a MLB staff role may be something he could get.
Rodney Linares is another one. He’s the bench coach for the Rays right now so he’s learning from Kevin Cash, he’s been with their organization since 2018 which overlaps with Bloom. He’s been their bench coach since 2022 and before TB he had a very successful run as a minor league manager from bottom to top in the Houston Astros system. I’m guessing he’d be a managerial candidate if anything.

Oli is managing with a lot more urgency this year. Almost as if he's needing to pad his resume.
He probably knows he's as good as gone after this season.

Admittedly I don't know anything about these guys, but I would almost bet that whoever they may hire will have some kind of a Cleveland connection. Just a guess.Futuregm2 wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 11:59 am I posted it in another thread, but I’ll post it here, too. Bloom came from TB and Boston. The development guys came from Cleveland and Seattle. It could very well be some kind of a combination.riff raff wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 12:02 pmAdmittedly I don't know anything about these guys, but I would almost bet that whoever they may hire will have some kind of a Cleveland connection. New manager? Why? Is Anne Sullivan available?
Before the June Swoon, after somehow lifting this load of poo into contention, Mr. Marmol was manager of the year.

Keep an eye on Brian Dinkelman as a future MLB coach/manager.
He was minor league manager of the year in 2023 for the Minnesota Twins High A squad and was promoted to the Twins Double A Manager of the Wichita Wind Surge.
i know him personally, great guy. Not saying necessarily for the Cardinals, but watch, some GM will pull him up to an MLB staff soon
look him up if you like

How wouldn't it workout with Pujols with Jay and Descalso on his side. We'd win 115 games.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 10:56 amI think Pujols will make a great manager somewhere, maybe even here. Re: Will Bloom seek new manager for 2026?
Yes.
As certain as sunrise.
As certain as your next heartbeat.
And no, for those who have suggested it, neither Pujols nor Molina will be considered for future meaningful leadership roles.
Next question.
Re: Will Bloom seek new manager for 2026?
Yes he will, and he will not choose a man who has as little experience managing as Marmol and Matheny.
Re: Will Bloom seek new manager for 2026?
Urgency? Vilade and Roycroft? I know it’s MO’s roster but this is what I always said is the problem with Marmol. He doesn’t have the experience to judge talent nor the guts to tell Mo what players he wants.
Re: Will Bloom seek new manager for 2026?
Yeah, he's been sticking with his best players for the most part. Hell, he doesn't play that Barrero guy hardly at all.
Who knows, maybe he got (upset) and said you want to give me these stiffs, I'll play them. Didn't Tony used to do that?

Re: Will Bloom seek new manager for 2026?
How about Skip, he did a good job with Marlins the first year. The second year injuries hurt.
Re: Will Bloom seek new manager for 2026?
He will very quickly be under heavy fire from the fanbase if he decides to keep Mos little puppet as manager. Aside from it being an idiotic baseball decision it would be wise of him to find a new manager unless he wants the hatred and wrath Mo(justifiably)gets

Are you suggesting that if Pujols was the manager this year…….this team would win 115 games?imadangman wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 13:06 pmHow wouldn't it workout with Pujols with Jay and Descalso on his side. I hope Bloom neither rewards nor punishes previous Cardinal ties in his search. That said I think Skip would be a good potential candidate.HorseTrader wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 16:16 pm How about Skip, he did a good job with Marlins the first year. The second year injuries hurt.
