Decent enough player, but I'm not a fan of the baggage he'd bring with him.

Seems like the next step for Dvorsky is to round out his 5v5 game in all phases at least this was the impression left with when i watched him play with Springfield its hard to quantify but maybe hockey IQ or awareness, hustle in general. He isnt a bad skater at all he gets back on the play well has a burst but it looks like more lack of a hustle or intensity. Idk probably nitpicking but hes on the horizon for sure

I'll say it again, i really believe in Dvorsky. Above all because there is something in his approach that resonates with me.
We have another homegrown highly skilled center here. He may take a beat or two to reach what I think he is going to reach. But what's going to happen is there will come a moment when the confidence is fully switched on, and at that point we have the spine of a contender in the forward group.

I don’t really have any of these concerns when it comes to Dvorsky. Have never been concerned with his hustle or willingness to battle and work on his game. But agree he needs to work on his defensive game. That’s his main deficiency right now…which is also 100% normal for a teenager playing pro hockey. In terms of taking a step offensively, he needs to work on finding separation IMO. He’s already very effective on the PP where he has more time and space to work but to take the next step he needs to become more of a threat 5 on 5. And to do that, he needs to work on separation, which in turn would likely include improving his skating (not just speed but agility, balance, alternating speeds etc) and improving his strength. All things that are totally normal for him to still need to develop at 19 going on 20.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑12 Jun 2025 08:38 am Seems like the next step for Dvorsky is to round out his 5v5 game in all phases at least this was the impression left with when i watched him play with Springfield its hard to quantify but maybe hockey IQ or awareness, hustle in general. 6'1", 206, 21 goals in 61 AHL games im fully in agreement here. When he "gets it" when the light comes on vs men this kid could be a monster NHLerseattleblue wrote: ↑12 Jun 2025 11:07 am I'll say it again, i really believe in Dvorsky. I thought he showed skill in the NHL in his debut. I like him. Gave him a taste. Maybe he makes the team out of camp. I hope he does. Worst case he has another great AHL stint.
You could also trade him and Buch or Kyrou for another big time player/package

Thomas really didn't start hitting top 6 numbers until he was 22. Give the kid a couple of years and I think we'll be happy with that 1-2 C combo.

This... Man if Thomas doesn't get injured, he could have had a solid shot at 100pts. I'm going to enjoy see him and Snuggy on a line next season.
Getting back to the OP, it's great news and I fully expect to see Dvorsky on the roster for 30+ games next season, as he'll get a shot at center and wing with Sunny riding that extra forward spot. It wouldn't shock me to see him on the 2nd PP as well.

Once ge gets to his peak what realm of player do you see him being? Pretty broad question i know. Do you think he will be a pk staple or 5v5 and pp. i dont know much about his faceoff ability especially with the transition of leagues.seattleblue wrote: ↑12 Jun 2025 11:07 am I'll say it again, i really believe in Dvorsky. Re: Dvorsky named to AHL Top Prospects Team
Dalibor has a reputation of always showing up at the rink even on off days to practice so I’m sure he will put the work in to improve what he needs to improve. He also was scratched during the WC’s and the coach mentioned what he needs to improve at as well. I’m sure that would have stung a bit even if he’s still just 19 years old. Hopefully that just adds to his motivation to have a strong offseason.

Playoff-valuable, steps up in the bigger moments, well rounded two way scoring center would be his peak IFFFFFF he reaches it. You know how you watch playoffs and you envy the teams with the guys who love to step it up the bigger the moment? I think he is like that inwardly. Can he develop himself where that blossoms along with performance? is the thing to observeYounghopp1991 wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 16:57 pmOnce ge gets to his peak what realm of player do you see him being? Re: Dvorsky named to AHL Top Prospects Team
He appears to be a dual threat center has an elite shot whether its one timer or slapper but also a highly skilled playmaker. Big body kid said to be very strong already but more of a plodding skater won't be a rush threat perhaps but lethal once he gets into the zone. Won't be pushed around.Younghopp1991 wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 16:57 pmOnce ge gets to his peak what realm of player do you see him being? Pretty broad question i know. By 23-24-25 is he a ppg center 35g 45as type?
