I was loosely following along on my phone while doing other things, but first thought when I saw the final box score the Cards had hit three 3 run HR's and still lost. Was wondering if they had ever done that before till figuring out Nado's HR was a 2 run job with him also getting another RBI earlier in the game. Anyway, Earl Weaver be darned.
But yeah, when I saw Roycroft was pitching the top of the 9th, let's just say any confidence left waned, and I had already projected Contreras could be coming up in the bottom half with guys on base. Game wasn't over at 8-6. Grrrr.
