So what would you consider the best timeline if he got promoted to Memphis fairly soon and did well? Do we add Wetherholt to the 40 man just to call him up for 1 spot. Or do we use that one spot on a guy like Saggese or Crooks (has to be added to 40man)?

If he’s as good as the hype, then he’ll be extended long before he ever becomes a free agent and so service time is irrelevant. Technically; it doesnt have to be 1 hitter 1 pitcher.
