Sam Bennett is this generations playoff Claude Lemieux.
Unbelievable.
He’s about to get 11M+ for the next 7 years. Hell someone may trade for his rights just for the opportunity to throw an 8th at him.

Re: Oil at Cats
I wish we still had Mikkola. He is a UFA after the season so it may be worth trying to get him back. He is a LHD so not a major need, but he is lightyears ahead of Leddy on defense.
Re: Oil at Cats
He may get to as many goals in the playoffs as he has in the regular season. Will be a major overpay for someone.WilliamWestcliffe wrote: ↑09 Jun 2025 20:43 pm Sam Bennett is this generations playoff Claude Lemieux.

Good comparison. I think his contract will age like Bobby Holik's.WilliamWestcliffe wrote: ↑09 Jun 2025 20:43 pm Sam Bennett is this generations playoff Claude Lemieux.

Not really. He's the same.Aesa wrote: ↑09 Jun 2025 20:22 pmMaybe his dirty play and multiple suspensions in the past might explain it. He’s everything you want in a player.
There's the player then the person.
He gets in the HOF for one of them.
Re: Oil at Cats
I like the idea of breaking Florida up so they might not be as good a team next year. They’re dominating tonight like they’re gonna win the whole thing but I know it’s a long series sometimes. I think Edmonton has given up on this game.
I think Edmonton making way too many passing plays. It’s hard enough to score on Bob anyway.

I think Edmonton is going to have problems with the matchups in the road games, which is why I thought Game 2 was more important for them than the Panthers.

Yep. There in lies the problem when you’re a team that is so top heavy.2forDiving wrote: ↑09 Jun 2025 21:07 pmI think Edmonton is going to have problems with the matchups in the road games, which is why I thought Game 2 was more important for them than the Panthers.
Florida getting the split on the road was huge and the longer this series goes on the physicality and depth of Florida is going to continue to wear down edmontons top two lines.

What a friggin PO Bennett is having. He's outshining McJesus.

Agree. McDrai don’t seem as effective tonight. Maybe it’s matchups and maybe it’s just that FLA is playing a (bleep) good game and Bob is on tonight. Hope FLA wins in 5WilliamWestcliffe wrote: ↑09 Jun 2025 21:10 pmYep.
