Good analogy.
I would agree with this

It's a hype video and it gets the fans excited about the game. It's OK to celebrate past success against the Dodgers and Kershaw in a big game. It reminds the fans the history and gets folks pumped up about the matchup.

That being said, it may have backfired and lit a fire within Clayton. He beat us at age 37 in a season where he has not been nearly his old self. He should celebrate his win and play his highlight reel from the game next time he pitches against the Cards in Dodger stadium. No biggie.

My exact thought on lit a fire under him. Now every time we have to face this particular HOFer he has an added angst to settle. More than likely a LAD home game in post season. Don’t need no fuel to this fire.

What a spoiled brat. This ain't home turf. His reaction is bush league.
Weren't CT's panties in a twist when KC played the WS video from 1985 win, in KC?

Ever been to a Mizzou-Kansas game at Allen Fieldhouse? Now, I'm a Mizzou fan, but the pregame video is hilarious.
The thing about the Kershaw comment is the past still clearly bothers him. He obviously still thinks about getting shelled by the Cardinals on multiple occasions. Otherwise, he wouldn't have said anything or would have given a more diplomatic answer. He was part of the that short era in which the Dodgers and Cardinals got under each other's skin in the postseason with the Cardinals coming out on top. He doesn't much care for the organization. I don't blame him. The Cardinals stood in the way of a couple more WS rings, and he was the punching bag

I view this as no different than royals playing video celebrating their world series over cardinals when we visited kc. Difference is, our team didnt whine about it.

We are the stl Cardinals. That alone stands for class. Anything questionable to that name is taint. We don’t need tarnish.

I expect other teams to act this way. Then I look at the history. I see why. We are the Cardinals.

Nothing says “class” more than having an employee commit a Federal crime and be sent to prison.

And then promote that employee’s boss.

That’s correct. Should have been hammered. Still doesn’t mean we can’t be a class org moving forward.

Goodness, you are a future 1st ballot HOFer with a couple WS titles to your name. Learn to laugh at yourself, you won life my man.

The Cardinals have won one other playoff series since winning that one. Matt Adams is probably coaching high-school baseball.

Bush league. Act like you’ve been there before.

In all my trips to see the Cards I don’t remember seeing a video like that but maybe I just missed it. It’s a little embarrassing to have to go that far back to find a highlight.

But I would rather Keyshaw say something to the effect that he got the last laugh today.

I’m not losing sleep over what the Cards did or what he said.

How is that different from the Royals celebrating the anniversary of their WS victory over the Cardinals when the Cardinals were in KC?
Is that the standard? As long as we are not less classy than the Kansas City Royals? It's another example of living in yesterday. We don't need to go back however many years to validate ourselves- we just handed them their hat in the first two games of the series. It was in poor taste.
