My exact thought on lit a fire under him. Now every time we have to face this particular HOFer he has an added angst to settle. More than likely a LAD home game in post season. Don’t need no fuel to this fire.TXCardsFanX wrote: ↑09 Jun 2025 07:36 am It's a hype video and it gets the fans excited about the game. It's OK to celebrate past success against the Dodgers and Kershaw in a big game. It reminds the fans the history and gets folks pumped up about the matchup.
That being said, it may have backfired and lit a fire within Clayton. He beat us at age 37 in a season where he has not been nearly his old self. He should celebrate his win and play his highlight reel from the game next time he pitches against the Cards in Dodger stadium. No biggie.

We are the stl Cardinals. That alone stands for class. Anything questionable to that name is taint. We don’t need tarnish.
I expect other teams to act this way. Then I look at the history. I see why. We are the Cardinals.
That’s correct. Should have been hammered. Still doesn’t mean we can’t be a class org moving forward.Bomber1 wrote: ↑09 Jun 2025 07:54 amsikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑09 Jun 2025 07:20 am

Nothing says “class” more than having an employee commit a Federal crime and be sent to prison.
And then promote that employee’s boss.

The Cardinals have won one other playoff series since winning that one. Matt Adams is probably coaching high-school baseball.
Bush league. Act like you’ve been there before.
Is that the standard? As long as we are not less classy than the Kansas City Royals? It's another example of living in yesterday. We don't need to go back however many years to validate ourselves- we just handed them their hat in the first two games of the series. It was in poor taste.Bad14 wrote: ↑09 Jun 2025 06:53 amHow is that different from the Royals celebrating the anniversary of their WS victory over the Cardinals when the Cardinals were in KC?Catfish4U wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 23:43 pm For playing a video of 2014 playoff home run against him.
