Wouldn't it have been interesting to see how would he would have done if not sent down.
His BA was at.341 and his OBP was .364 when sent down. To elaborate, Saggese is blocked by Arenado and Gorman. I don't remember Saggese popping up as much as Arenado does. Nor striking out as much as Gorman does. Saggese is simply blocked.
For the umpteenth time, it was a whopping 44 MLB PAs, with a .433 BABIP in that tiny sample. “To elaborate,”
Saggese at AAA
2024: 528 PAs, 91 wRC+
2025: 139 PAs, 102 wRC+
How are Arenado and Gorman performing, offensively?
Are they facing AAA pitching? Do you think they’d be above average (as opposed to average-to-slightly-below-average) against AAA pitching?
You always think the next bright shiny object in the minors is better than whoever happens to be struggling at the moment on the MLB roster. You have the attention span of a gnat.
It is always Groundhog Day for Joel/Shady/KY Kid, et all. He is the neediest schizophrenic on the board, and has been for a decade +.
Shady is not Joel.
And he doesn't have the racist socks he's been neurotically accused of.

No, Joel doesn't have those racist socks. You on the other hand ... I guess I'm not on your blocked list as you have declared many times. Any attention is good attention, I suppose.

We've seen this story before.
Shady thinks X minor leaguer can do better than X major leaguer(s). "If only they would give X minor leaguer a shot! If only he wasn't blocked!"
Fast forward to X minor leaguer stinking it up. Shady then finds a new young minor leaguer to lobby for.
Been happening since Carlson. Maybe longer...

It’s Arenado. He’s the problem.
In so many ways.

It’s a rebuild. Why not find out what Saggese can do given extended major league PA’s?

Seems some here really like pop ups and strikeouts.
Seems your logic is severely impaired by overly-simplistic binary thinking.

I go away for a wedding and golfing adventure and come back to another Saggese post with four (4) edits?
To counter your argument...
I don't remember Saggese winning 10 Gold Gloves.
I don't remember Saggese winning 5 Silver Sluggers.
I don't remember Saggese making 8 All Star Teams.
Most importantly....
I don't remember Saggese having a full No Trade contract.
You can start 1,000 Saggese threads and nothing is changing. I would, however, like to quickly point out Saggese's 2025 line at Memphis of 283/361/402/763 doesn't exactly scream promotion. Do you really not think Nado could duplicate or surpass those numbers if he were hitting minor league pitching?
Finally, when's that time you saw Saggese hit? Are you sure he doesn't pop up a lot?

Arenado (MLB): 11.1%/15.9%
Gorman (MLB): 27.7%/8.1%
Saggese (AAA): 26.4%/21.2%

Saggese has just as much hitting potential as Walker and Gorman, overall. There just doesn't seem to be room for him at the present time. With the reset in mind, it's unfortunate.

Gorman has not been given a fair shot in 2025.

I know some postes really like stats. Check the minor league stats for Walker, Gorman and Saggese. See which of the three was superior.
