I wonder what discussions are going on in the commissioner's office about this travesty. If they're not happening, they should be. Something has to be done, right? Force a move out of Denver? Force a sale? The Rockies are technically an MLB franchise, but not really by a long shot.

I know one thing, I will be nervous when Cards play them.

Piling on, but deservedly:

The Rockies are 4-11 in 1-run games and 3-16 in blow-outs (5 or more runs).

They're 3-28 on the road. Just guessing that's about what a so-so AAA team would do.

On the road Rockie hitters have slashed 190/252/303 in 1100 PAs. That's like having a teamful of Matt McLain or Ke'Bryan Hayes.

They're the best argument for relegation I can think of.

And that’s not even bringing up their starting pitching.

Kyle Freeland: 12 GS 0-8 5.72 ERA 1.63 WHIP
Antonio Senzatela: 12 GS 1-10 7.14 ERA 1.98 WHIP
German Marquez: 11 GS 1-7 7.13 ERA 1.64 WHIP
Chase Dollander: 8 GS 2-5 6.28 ERA 1.42 WHIP
Ryan Feltner: 6 GS 0-2 4.75 ERA 1.48 WHIP
Carson Palmquist: 4 GS 0-4 8.50 ERA 1.83 WHIP

Rockies collective SPs: 6.72 ERA 1.68 WHIP 5-40 record. Opponents are hitting .320/.370/.508 vs their SPs.
