He is absolutely murdering the ball right now. 3-3 tonight with 2 HR and 5 RBI

.316 with 10 HR, 25 SB, and a .946 OPS for the year

.311 with 6 HR, 20 RBI, 5 SB, and a 1.086 OPS through 18 AA games

Kid is on absolute fire right now!

His HRs are crushed. Seriously that size, power, and speed combo is something to behold!

Lol I was too conservative... or actually I think it was a typo and I left off an "A" 8O

He seems to actually be what everyone assured me Walker was going to be.

walker doesn't appear to have spent much time in the minors (rushed thru?) except for AA where he hit 300 with 20 hrs and a 900 ops

just sayin

They really need traffic control out on the street when Baez is up to bat.
Kinda weakly apologized to HCF about Baez a couple days ago, as a couple years ago I was adding Baez to about any trade package I could dream up on here to HCF's chagrin.
You know, maybe having a little more patience with very young high potential prospects IS a good idea, lol.
Wow!

Gorman and Walker (and Carlson) are red flags that we shouldn’t count on guys with big HR power or similar fanfare to be successful in MLB until they are. And all three of those guys saw above average success in their first full years so maybe we have to wait even longer.

Another great thing about Baez, he went hitless for 3 straight games for the first time this season on June 11-13. Since then he’s gone 6 for 13 with 1 double, 3 HR, 9 RBI, 1 BB-2 K’s, 4 runs, and 1 steal in 4 games. Instead of an extended funk at a higher level, he’s crushed the ball.

Chase Davis

Could Davis and Baez possibly replace Noot and Walker at the corners someday?
Davis isn't much younger than Walker and no where near as advanced so far. How much runway does each of them have left?
