RamFan08NY wrote: 17 May 2025 13:57 pm Isn't the four slot kind of over analyzed after the first inning has been played? The guy could lead off innings 3 times after that. They have 60 rbi from their 4-5-6 guys. Doesn't seem to be an issue.
NADO hitting clean-up:
4 HR
18 RBI
.247 .326 .386 .712

Cardinals team totals from the clean-up spot:
6 HR
25 RBI (15th in MLB, right in the middle)
.257 .330 .417 .747

Not much of an argument is there RF that WIllyC (only 12 PA at cleanup this yr but: .364 .417 .636 1.053) would do more damage than NADO as would I. Hererra?

I'm fine w/NADO at clean-up if was hitting for power and doing damage but that hasn't been the case w/that .386 slg%.
When Herrera bats, he is a serious threat to do some damage. That's not really the case with Arenado, right now. Now Arenado goes out and hits two HRs today. LOL
Let's hope so!

Looks like we aren't going to get any help from the white Sox this weekend and the cubs play the marlins and reds next week while we play the Tigers and Dbacks

Just hoping we keep pace. I don't think the Padres, Phillies, and Giants are going to give up their wild card spots

No blackouts? I’m in Tulsa rn and last nights game was blacked out
I'm assuming Blackouts apply. Sorry. Tulsa overlaps into KC's TV rights?

FCC Blackout Broadcast rules are so archaic .
Yes but also STL. Its ridiculous that Oklahoma has 0 teams but are blacked out by 4 markets, while Denver has 1 team and only 1 blackout applies. At least I can watch the Cards in person when they are playing the Rockies. The only games I actually miss to blackout when I'm home are the Rockies at Busch series.

Guess Oli didn't get the CT memo about dropping NADO from the clean-up spot?

Is he going to be stubbornly stupid about this like he was last season when he kept Winn at lead-off despite his .290 OB%?

GO CARDS!
Takes awhile with this numbnut

Why wouldn't you flip Donovan and Herrera against a lefty?

I've been ready to watch today's game since early today when I woke up. Finally it is almost game time.

I temporarily assumed it would be a day game today, but obviously I assumed incorrectly.

Considering how few pitchers are LH it seems odd just how many LH the Cards have been facing lately.

Go Cards! Pitch well MM!

I wonder how the Royals are over .500 with that stinko lineup outside of a couple of guys.

If Cards keep pace w/Cubs during this span of such disparity in quality of opponents, they will catch them and win this division. Unless they completely roll over during head-to-head. If in first place after July 4th series, to hell with a reset. Buy big at deadline.

Another delay? Uugh

Is it weather related? Or a 2nd day of rubbing our noses in the 1985 world series results?
