I saw that embellishment penalty on Rodriguez. That guy got shoved against the boards. He put his gloves up to absorb the shock on the glass. I think that’s why they called it embellishment because then he went down to his knees
Quite a finish and Florida cannot do what Winnipeg did, but I will say that Toronto ice, the puck at least two or three times themselves .
the Florida players were very aggressive .
None of the Toronto players had as much room as Buchnevich had when he got the puck and iced that ! It’ll take a while to forget

Yea that’s what I’ve been saying especially in person but then I saw this and thought maybe I’m crazy:theograce wrote: ↑07 May 2025 20:45 pmWhat are your thoughts on Jones? He looks gross to meMiamiLaw wrote: ↑07 May 2025 20:35 pmFair enough. I’ll have to look at the other view you said re the embellishmenttheograce wrote: ↑07 May 2025 20:32 pmNo it was a penalty that was, imo, embellished a tad
Seth Jones at 5v5 in round 1 vs Tampa Bay:
— 86:22 time on ice (2nd most on Panthers)
— 56.93 xGF% (most from a Panthers defenseman)
— on-ice for 0 goals against
— played primary against Kucherov & Point
Re: Tor/Fla
I didn’t watch him much in round 1, but he’s been bad these 2 gamesMiamiLaw wrote: ↑07 May 2025 20:51 pmYea that’s what I’ve been saying especially in person but then I saw this and thought maybe I’m crazy:theograce wrote: ↑07 May 2025 20:45 pmWhat are your thoughts on Jones? Re: Tor/Fla
Looks like the Leafs are finally legit. My man Berube is gonna get himself another cup some season soon.
Re: Tor/Fla
The play where a Tor player swiped the puck out of the crease with his hand, I thought there was some obscure rule that you would get called for. Did anyone else think the same?
Re: Tor/Fla
I saw that play too. Maybe because he did not close his hand on the puck he could knock it away. I think the key was it was open handed.
I’ll copy part of the rule here and you can look up the rest of the rule yourself
Rule 618 | Handling Puck with Hands
(a) Play shall be stopped and a last play face-off shall occur anytime a player (except the goalkeeper) closes his hand on the puck and does not immediately drop the puck to the ice.
A minor penalty for delay of game shall be assessed to any player, other than the goalkeeper, who picks the puck up from the ice with his hand(s) while play is in progress.
