The team is on a win streak. Most fans enjoy that. I guess in your mind that is some twisted 'owning' of the fans.
Such a dumb (donkey) thread.

You know the Cardinal Way, right? Our players were coached how to play the game a certain way. Coached by minor league instructors using George Kittle Cardinals Way playbook.
That’s not called a “reset.” It’s called hypocrisy.
It took the fanbase to finally rebel this offseason to initiate change.
Nah, just a fanbase that wants change...finally.Charlie Smoke wrote: ↑08 May 2025 00:46 ampeterman'srealitytour wrote: ↑07 May 2025 21:06 pmI would call gutting your minor league coaching staff nothing but nonsense. Last year at this time, the Cards were 15-23 having scored 129 runs and allowed 179 runs. The year before they were 13-25 having scored 169 runs and allowed 190 runs. Today, they are 19-19 having scored 174 runs while allowing 169 runs. In each of the prior two seasons they had win streaks of at least five games in a row. So, am I to be elated when comparing this team to the low bars of the previous two years? I dunno. Seems to be a bridge too far. Should I be excited about the progression of this multi-year rebuild. Well, I guess that's something I could try if it would make you feel better.
Honestly, I think they may do it in 2027 and make the playoffs next season. Depends on the pitching. McG and LIbby look like a good base for a rotation of younger pitchers. Pallante... hard to say. They may grow some bats... not looking too bad at this point. They need a better manager and Bloom needs some funds and a chance to operate. There are some good pieces.nighthawk wrote: ↑08 May 2025 06:52 amLast year at this time, the Cards were 15-23 having scored 129 runs and allowed 179 runs. So, when do you expect them to field a team that will be in a position to play for the NL pennant? I think that is a 2028 timetable at best. What do you say???
Why is Bloom better than he was in Boston?bccardsfan wrote: ↑08 May 2025 08:39 amHonestly, I think they may do it in 2027 and make the playoffs next season. Depends on the pitching. So, the Prodigal Moron returns to CardsTalk.
You mean a payroll slashing con game where they play (essentially) the same players?Cranny wrote: ↑07 May 2025 20:55 pmWhat nonsense? Exactly!
They still have 5 more home games on this homestand…Baseball Savant wrote: ↑07 May 2025 21:08 pm Nobody feels dumb just because they won 5 in a row, they go on road for next 9
Fans will embrace a youth movement IF the Cardinals fully commit to the idea and trade their assets for young prospects
Arenado, Helsley, Fedde, Matz should be traded - they are NOT the future
I would ask Contreas, Gray and Mikolas about their No Trade clauses around July 1, Mikolas is gone either way
The core of team is Donovan, Winn, Scott, Nootbaar, McGreevey, Liberatore, Graceffo
Gorman, Burleson and Walker the jury is still out big time
You did it! 5 episodes of Sponge Bob in a row. Take a break bro!
