Not that he's even amazing, but he sure would bring a lot to this team.
That was who I wanted, and though I liked Matheny it was still a mistake to hire a rookie manager.

They don't want a manager that is capable of thinking on his own.
They want a manager that they can tell what to do

Francona wasn't hired in 2012 due to a dependence on prescription pain pills. He was also going thru a divorce and was reportedly having an affair with reporter Hazel Mae. Nobody hired him in 2012.
