I think Walker was rushed through the system and was a victim of some bad coaching. He is still just 22 years old. There is just too much potential to give up on him. Lately , I have noticed he has opened his stance some from when he started the season. He is pulling of the ball which can be fixed. On the very positive side, his defense is much improved.cardsfaninla wrote: ↑24 Apr 2025 22:19 pm I am against trading Walker.
I refuse to believe he isn't as talented as I hoped.
Let him play.

Do you really think they would trade Walker

IF the return is good, then I'd have no problem w/them dealing J. Walker as long as C. Bloom makes the trade and not Mo.
His upside (IMO) is J. Heyward w/o the GG defense in RF.

They traded Colby Rasmus. So you never know.

I hope they do for the Cardinals and for him.
They have screwed him over again and again, messing with his swing.
Brant Brown's one week of results was a figment of the board imangination.
It's time for both to get a fresh perspective.

Carlson
O’Neill
Walker
Gorman
All players who were “can’t miss”.
Also they all could (at one time) have brought a nice return.
The first 3 were allowed to stay here until and after their trade value became zero.
I’m starting to think the latter 2 will share the same fate.
Re: Do you really think they would trade Walker
He easily gets this season, he probably gets more than this season.
It does start to get a little tricky though after this season.
IMO, Walker needs to bring SLG. IF somewhere
along the assessment is that he is near league average at that or less
then I could agree with a trade sooner rather than later versus waiting
for it to happen. His SLG should be > .425.

I’ve seen very few adjustment in breaking balls away that’s his krptonite and then they bust him in hardRamFan08NY wrote: ↑25 Apr 2025 08:13 am I'm not giving up hope on him. Yadi hit .216 in his third year in the majors. After that in his career he had 6 seasons hitting .290 or better. Walker is 22 years old. He'll get smarter at the plate.
I see no discernible learning taking place

No they didn't. He still hits worm burners and they wanted him to get some elevated line drives. He didn't listen...cardsrmyteam wrote: ↑25 Apr 2025 11:37 am I hope they do for the Cardinals and for him.

Agreed. He has not taken to the instruction and guidance meant to enhance his hittinghmoss859 wrote: ↑25 Apr 2025 13:03 pmI’ve seen very few adjustment in breaking balls away that’s his krptonite and then they bust him in hardRamFan08NY wrote: ↑25 Apr 2025 08:13 am I'm not giving up hope on him.
