I am absolutely enthralled to bestow my unwavering support upon these illustrious Jets of Winnipeg.

Their valour upon the ice commands nothing less than the highest admiration, and I shall cheer for their triumphs with the fervour befitting a loyal subject of such noble pursuits.

Or, as the commonfolk say,

Go Jets Go!

My name is kanadalainen, and I'm addicted to almonds and water I approve of the preceding missive.

Away with you little Jets, fly to the proximal locations of the most egregious villans on the Blues (their foot-launching captain) and the dankest places on the ice, and commence the sundry and methodical destruction of the Blues' swinefest.
.........

When I have seen by Bin's glove hand defaced
And baby Schenn’s haggard and time-crusted impotent rage;
When crumbling Blues towers I see down-razed
And their busted (bleep) gives rise to old Monty’s all-pervasive age;
When I have seen our hungry fanbase gain
Advantage on the kingdom of “goals for”,
And the firm soil win of the frozen water main,
Pummel’d goals quelling loss and goals well stored;
When I have seen such interchange of state,
Or Thomas himself confounded to decay;
Ruin hath taught me thus to ruminate,
That Arny hath come for playoffs here to stay.
This thought is as a drawn breath, sweet, bemused
Wield Helly for this fight, which we must not lose.

What the heck man....they make American fans sound like we're right out of Idiocracy
Correction, they make themselves sound like THEY are right out of Idiocracy as they woefully try to make themselves sound like Shakespere while attempting to wax poetic (badly at that).
Has the snow melted yet in Winnipeg?
The snow hasn't even melted in northern Wisconsin! :cry: :cry:

Not sure if it's been mentioned but there's a "major" coaching change behind the Blues bench tonight. Blues players had trouble hearing Monty because of the noise during Game 1 and the White Out was throwing so much white light around the rink that it was bouncing off the shine on Monty's head so they couldn't read his lips. The combination of these two caused issues with line changes.

The resulting change is that Monty will be wearing a "skull cap" behind the bench tonight.

I'm not kidding at all. lmao. This is actually planned to happen. No clue what kind of "skull cap" he'll be wearing, though. I imagine a darker color.

Ironically, the hit they threw against Holloway was probably their cleanest hit of that night.

Snuggerud Thomas Buch /
Neighbours Schenn Kyrou
All else the same.
I hope that's just in writing. Snuggy is a natural RW and I thought Buch was a natural LW. I questioned putting Snuggy on his offside in a playoff environment on the 2nd line. I know most teams play F1 F2 F3 and does it really matter but still.....
I also don't get why they have Boldy stapled to the 3rd line. If anything I'd drop Neighbors down and try Boldy at LW on the second line. His speed and skill set seems like it would be a better match with Kyrou than Neighbors.
I agree on all points.

With Monty' comment about the Thomas line being good on offense, but needing improvement i=on the defensive side, putting a 10 NHL Game "veteran" on that line is spooky, crazy, and perhaps genius.

Boldy on the second line is a decent choice. It keeps two speedy offensive threat lines and gives you two solid checking lines.
Monty’s stubbornness on this may prove costly. The line of Neighbours-Schenn-Kyrou was tried down the stretch and was awful. Two plodders just slow down Kyrou. I also think Snuggs gets eaten alive by the Jets top line. Bolduc banishment to 3rd line, even with his dumb penalty, is confusing. If they want to load up, fine, take your chances with:

Snuggs-Thomas-Buch
Bolduc-Schenn-Kyrou
Joseph-Sunny-Neighbours
It might, indeed.
From his words today, my guess is he is going with “the best defense is a fast and slick offense.” With his philosophy of “relentless, hard offensive hockey”, it works when the other team is constantly chasing the play. His first line is now pretty danged fast.
They are going to need much better play from some of the defensemen and a cohesive “five man unit” where the defenseman join the play routinely as the F3 routinely covers for them.
It worked before…
Bolduc with Kyrou and Schenn makes sense to me, with Neighbours playing a great checking role on the third pad line and chipping in some rebounds with Sunny.

NHL Coaches have crazy tough and awesome jobs.

The third line will not have Joseph, apparently. They seem to be dressing 7 D.
Bolduc, Sunny…. Rotate Snuggy and Kyrou, and Neighbours, and Toro/Walker????

Interesting move by Monty

The Radio guys are reminding us that dressing 11 forwards is riskier in the playoffs as the OTs can go on as long as they need to.

Not confirmed yet.

7 D - Schenn taking the draw with the 4th line. My guess is Faksa.

If Snuggerud hits the weights this off-season, he's going to be tough. Too easily knocked off the puck now.
