Not sure? Maybe you’re thinking of Phil Cuzzi? I remember him ejecting Edmonds in the middle of a crucial AB in the NLCS or WS.
Phil Cuzzi also had a problem with McGwire. I believe that he was the ump when he made a questionable call on McGwire and fans began to throw trash on the field.

MLB just refuses to have any accountability whatsoever for bad umpires. This clown has been around way too long making way too many mistakes.

Have you paid attention to MLB over the past few years? Rob Manfred is an idiot. He has done about as much as possible to worsen the game. The guy wanted to add a rule that the losing team could pick whichever batters they wanted in the 9th inning. Not to mention the ghost runner and throw over rules. Keeping bad umps is not surprising.
This is an insult to idiots everywhere. Whatever Manfred is, he's not as smart as an idiot.
