I'm looking forward to Munoz major league debut. Hi K rate and has opened the season well at Memphis, following a decent ST showing.
Have you seen is BB rate at Memphis? 1 per inning! Which leads to his 1.6 WHIP. He plays w/ fire every time out it seems. Should be a fun cardiac show when he pitches.
5 walks in 5 innings in AAA. What could go wrong?
Not good (let's hope it was poor umpiring ) but look who he's replacing:
Roycroft
5 2/3 IP
6 Walks
Roycroft had a career BB/9 of 4.8 in the minors, Munoz is 4.7. They both have control issues. About same K rate too (9.7 for Munoz to 9.5 for Roycroft). My expectations are low.
Same
My expectations are low, just glad Roycroft is outta here.

I don't disagree with the move at all. Roycroft is just not good and also deals with control issues. Just pointing out that Munoz's biggest issue is also control.
Maybe we catch lightening in a bottle for a little bit w/ Munoz. Kind of like when Genesis Cabrera was right.
No doubt, he's got to throw strikes.
Fingers crossed, they need another quality arm to go w/Helsley, Maton & Leahy.
The strike zone don’t get no larger at the ML level. If anything, it shrinks. And being a rookie?
What could go wrong.
Low expectations here too, but Roycrap had to go.
I'd put Libby back in the pen', never wanted him to start.
Callup McGreevy to start, send down Fernandez or King if he has options left.
Best case would be to DFA Mikolas or find a reason to IL him for the season.

He pitched with Miami for a while last season.
Either way, maybe he'll be better than Roycroft. Maybe he won't. But we had to do something.

I don't believe he's a rookie..I believe he had around 20 starts for the Marlins last season.

Sounds like rearranging the deck chairs in the bullpen.

and Romero.
Not sure I would put him in the category with those guys. His peripherals kind of stink and his 2nd half last year was terrible (5.40 ERA/.846 OPS against).

He’s had a lot of traffic, especially for someone with a fairly unremarkable K%.

3 of those walks were in his last outing...to go with a HBP, I believe. Wasn't pretty. Welcome to the St. Louis.

JoJo?
I don't trust him huge, no way he belongs w/Helsley, Maton and Leahy as reliable pen's arms.
