ESPN says that the death toll is now up to 44 dead and 160 injured in the collapse. Another one of those is Nelson Cruz’s sister.

Former MLB pitcher Octavio Dotel has passed away, after being rescued from the rubble at the Jet Set night club in the Dominican Republic due to the collapse of the roof.

Dotel, 51, died while being transferred to the hospital.

RIP.

So sad to hear this. We don't win in 2011 without Dotel.
