What is the ONLY thing that matters in Pro Sports?? There is no second answer
As it’s a business, making money.

Oh, you meant for the team and the fans…

For the Owner/FO
This isn’t a charity
A developmental league
A Cranny “just here to see fellas in uni’s have a ballgame”
A tee ball team where all on roster play so their feelings aren’t hurt
And IF the team doesn’t win …….then the owner Will eventually NOT realize his max take…..as BDW will see in STL this season

Like is it his fault he's doing poorly at a job he was never qualified for in the first place?
What's that got to do with anything? We are criticizing him precisely as a manager, not as a bad husband or father or human being.

I'm just saying it all comes down to Mozeliak. He's the one who continuously puts people in a position to fail.

It’s methodical. That way he has someone to pin the blame on.

Correct. But, can there be more red seats, in coming homestands, than there have been?

As many of you know, I'm no oli fan. But I don't know of any current manager who could win the division with this current group of pitchers. Mikolas is awful. Fedde is a #4 or 5 on a good team. And Liberatore is too inconsistent. Then you have a couple guys in the bullpen who can't be relied on in big situations.

The offense has improved. The defense is pretty decent. The baserunning needs improvement. It's mostly the pitching. They can't put hitters away.

He rest red hot players who are winning games for the team

Amazing
Why didn't Pages go talk to Helsley?

Not sure how you blame Oli for a cluster [fork] of [shirt]ty pitching

So it’s up to a rookie C to go out there, slow things down, and hopefully get RH back to throwing strikes?? I guess the manager just fills out the lineup card and chugs brewskys in the clubhouse til the last out…..

Yes. I was the only one who called that out while it was happening. But tell me how he is responsible for the [shirt]ty pitching as a whole?

Do you not find it off that Pages or the pitching coach didn't go talk to Helsley? Those are normally what happens while the manager goes and pulls the pitcher.

lol... you do realize that the Manager typically sends the pitching coach out for a visit and the Manager would signal a rookie catcher when to make a mound visit to an established vet closer.

Cardinals team OPS is .852. Second in MLB. All position players are under control for multiple years.

Should be fired the day the Cardinals fall 10 games behind the scrubs. :x
