SMH
Honestly I don’t know what Oli is “thinking”??
I see him as being stubborn so once he gets a bug in his head good luck changing it.
Overall I’m encouraged with the bats.
Yes....Herrera should be DH .
I understand wanting to show confidence in Contreras I just worry that he stubbornly sticks to things and won’t change.
Hopefully today is the day Contreras breaks out!
Reminds me of someone else making a massive mistake right now w/tariffs.
Ouch!
Actually checked my IRA and it wasn’t as bad as I thought.
I worry that Oli might panic in feeling the hot seat this year.
He either grossly over-manages or grossly under-manages!
Still hoping for a 3-3 road trip which is respectable.

Its not the lineup that Im worried about. They are hot right now and will score runs no matter who starts. It also looks like Winn is starting to hit now too.
Im worried about the pitching. Can Pallante and the bullpen hold the Red Sox to 4-5?

Looks like Munoz had another clean inning at AAA. Current stats, 3 G, 4 IP, 7 SO, 1 S, 0.0 ERA. Maybe he'll be able to help the Cardinals' pitching situation. Memphis is off to a good start.

Thx duce
I see the "cooler" Oli at it again.
I. Hererra:
4 HR
11 RBI
.400 .455 1.100 1.555
Sits while WillyC DH's?
Hit a solo HR, and then is responsible for 2 or 3 runs scoring.....that's -2.
I love his bat, but that trade off isn't really encouraging.
If Herrera sits, I understand why.
Eh, it was a 3-run HR. And the trade off is even more of a positive if he DHs instead of Contreras.

The other side is if the ability to stop runs is down, you may need to have run scoring
at optimal and get into and exploit their pen. A way to win 2 games.

SMIB - Smartest Man in Baseball syndrome. Evidently no cure has been found.
Having a SMIB in FO and one as manager - tells a lot about the past couple years.
Our investments are holding true. Have not lost a penny.

I wonder if C. Bloom (and his new Manager) will shift WillyC back behind the plate in 2026?
Then give Hererra a first basemen's mitt to fiddle w/over this winter while getting the full J. Oquendo crash course in playing 1st base in STing?

Ryan Fernandez
Spring training:
8 2/3 IP
6 ER
6.23 ERA
2025 season:
3 2/3 IP
6 ER
14.73 ERA
Somethings wrong, needs to go down and figure things out before he helps lose yet another game for the Cardinals.
Sloooooooooooo Mo, wake up

A drizzly mid-40s day with wind chills in the upper 30s. I'm happy Gray won't be on the mound, if they play.

A decent idea.
To me there isn't anyone in the system that screams 1B of the future.
With the depth on the come at C, I'd attempt a trade of WC myself.
Pages will always provide solid backup even if he never improves. IF he does
it becomes a good problem.
In the VERY SSS of 2025, IH doesn't seem to have progressed at throwing to 2B from
C.
