Winn and the return of Willy Long Con are just lucky we faced the Twins to start the season.

If the team is 0-5 and those guys have been this big of a detriment. Don't know...

Although at this rate team will be well below .500 within a couple weeks.

Sent down? No. Day off? He should get one. They’ll have to figure out who plays SS though.
How long do you let him struggle? How is this different than what happened with Walker?

Well first of all Winn brings enough on defense to make up for it somewhat. And secondly, it was stupid when they sent Walker down, so I don’t think it’s any different with Winn. But they definitely need to give him a day off.

If you read Winn's comments he does not come close to someone who is in hitting slump. Not delusional or otherwise. He will respond positively. Is anyone thinking Contreras will go 0 for 2025??

I'd give him 2 days off & tell him to stay out of the cage. Don't touch a bat. I'd bring him back in the 2 hole (going off of memory, but I think he's had the most success there.) I feel like he's been a slow starter before. His comments make me think he has a maturity level beyond his years & is well equipped to deal with a slump. As others have mentioned, his glove can carry him.

Except for Winn, the lineup seems to be hitting pretty well up & down the line.

What baffles me is not one attempt bunt for a hit.

As was said earlier, why not try and bunt for a hit. Use your speed. Do something to shake it up.
That's bad coaching as well.

Exactly and Gold Glove level at a PREMIUM position too!

No way I send him down, maybe just needs today off to clear his head and work w/B. Browne.

Agreed -- a mental health day or two might make a world of difference. But, the roster is so poorly constructed there's no real backup SS.

Could be, and I would guess they send Baker back down?

You must not have been around baseball very long if you think GG always go to the best fielders.
