I'm apparently as good as American Eagle and Cracker Barrel at giving people innocuous things to take offense at.
Nay, Cracker Barrel beat you on that

No offense taken.

BTW, the relationship between QS and W is somewhat wild.
Across the league, we have exactly as many QS as W (1,251). I kind of expected it to be close to 1-to-1.
However, at the team level, we go from ima (96 wins on only 75 QS) to FutureGM (76 wins on 98 QS).
Among the leading teams:
I have 84 W on 95 QS (-11)
Jeffy has 87 W on 78 QS (+9)
Quincy has 81 W on 87 QS (-6)
ima has 96 W on 75 QS (+21)
gg has 95 W on 84 QS (+11).
I have 90 wins on 93 qualifying starts, although apparently neither of those are worth mentioning
76 Wins with only 61 QS's!!!
Assuming you vultured quite a few relief pitcher wins?
My assumption as well. Yet, haven't done any forensics as using site on Mobile App and have limited data. Not a clue as to what guys I cut may have provided as don't see it on Mobile app.
I can tell you this. While I have an abnormally low QS total I likely have the most Starts of 5 and 2/3 or 5 and 1/ in the History of Fantasy Baseball.
And the most Grand Slams by a Team in a season. Yet, just about every one of them was hit by a guy in a bench spot. Lol
Brutal Season. Can't wait till the Next Draft. Going to prepare for it next time..

You picked up 3 wins from Ben Casparius and 6 from Edwin Diaz.
I think you’ve been a short a starter or two all season. You’re only about 30 IP ahead of youboughtit, who started the season with a million injured pitchers.

Case in point.
Lutz goes 5 and 2/3 today. Leaves with a 4 or 5 run lead 1 on and 2 out. WTF? Day In Day Out.

I guess they don’t trust him like the Brewers just did with Misiorowski. Left him in through 7 innings and he was still throwing 100 mph gas at 108 pitches. You didn’t want him… oops.

Fortunate I didn't want Walker.
Bigger picture
I am morally conflicted on trading at this stage of the season. You have not been the only one sniffing for a SB guy, Save guy, Home run bat etc etc.
This is why.
I have no conceivable gain..12th place, 11th, 13th. Matters not. They all Suck.
Yet, by flipping an asset to a Contender I can have an outsized effect on the remaining race.
Also leaves one open to being called out for favoritism or attempting to assist a fellow owner vs the field.
In the absence of having a Keeper a trade deadline is a necessity IMO.

You asked for Walker in a counteroffer, which I have proposed again to you.
The league has the opportunity to veto trades if they so choose, and I lowered the standard to 4 votes to reduce the number of imbalanced trades. The veto system exists to prevent the favoritism you describe.

Yeah I think it’d be good to have a trade deadline, as well. It can be late but still should exist.

Why, though?
I suppose the scenario Daze described
could happen, but the league can veto bull[shirt] collusion trades.
Wonder if Daze was worried about the impact on the remaining race when he asked for Freeman in exchange for Chandler Simpson?

Just feels like a lopsided trade could sneak through cause the bottom half checks out and doesn’t review anything. Stealing Alex is a prime example.

You could have said this before I wasted three weeks trying to negotiate a trade.

If you want to keep people involved I think you have to give them something to play for.
For example, you could award the league champion an additional 5th round pick in next season's draft, the runner up gets an additional 6th round pick, etc.
I don't know if the Yahoo draft would allow QV as Commish to pause it, let someone message their extra pick, let QV manually add that player to their roster, and then restart the draft.
Since everyone makes an extra pick at some point you just end up eliminating the last round of the draft.

I don’t think Yahoo has the mechanics to do that in a live draft. If it does, I’d rather someone else run the draft. Maybe it could be done offline, but that complicates the process considerably and it can drag on for days.
I’ve considered making it a money league next year w/ a very small buy in. That would keep people active longer…

Alternatively you could perhaps make it a one keeper league where the prior year's champion can keep any player who isn't in the top 75 of overall players, the runner-up could keep any one player who isn't in the top 90, third place keeps any one player not in the top 105, etc.
Then you would basically settle it before the draft starts.
If you think you are going to make it money league and have people Venmo you, I don't Venmo.
