Do you think it's easy to adjust to a shot that is going far left and ends up top right? I don't think it is.

Who's tantruming? Merely stating that a professional goaltender should be able to stop a slow fluttering puck from the point.seattleblue wrote: ↑27 Jan 2026 21:51 pm lol at people who are tantruming at Binnington on a deflection. has he been anything but awful this year? no. but that was deflected off Joseph pretty obviously
we have the rangers and flames hunting the second pick dropping like a rock we didn't want a point. we need the highest end talent possible we need regulation losses, there are only 29 games left.

And it appeared his angle was off to begin with. But sure. Worst GAA among qualified goalies is all about unfortunate screens, deflections and bounces.Jeff Goldblum wrote: ↑27 Jan 2026 22:12 pmIt wasn't going far left and it was going slow.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑27 Jan 2026 22:01 pmDo you think it's easy to adjust to a shot that is going far left and ends up top right? I’m pretty amazed that there are people that are actually defending Binnington right now. You either want a good draft pick so bad that you are relieved the Blues didn’t get a point or you are in some ways associated with the Blues.
He’s so indefensible and those that are playing a role to keep trotting him out there must be feeling guilty for ruining the Blues season. So maybe they found their way to this forum. I know it’s far fetched but I don’t see how you can defend that slop

They did NOT lose that game because of Binnington. Not in any way.stlblue06 wrote: ↑27 Jan 2026 22:50 pm I’m pretty amazed that there are people that are actually defending Binnington right now. It was deflected. If you want to blame someone for that goal, it falls on the center. First, as someone else said, it does seem like the Blues NEVER win close and late faceoffs in their own end. But, if you're going to lose it, and least do something to try and prevent them from winning a perfect assist back to the point. Their Dman didn't even have to move to accept that.
You couldn't have intentionally passed that puck more perfectly. That's pretty much been the Blues entire season.
Hey, maybe ol' smelly is right and fate has aligned the stars for the Blues to nab the #1 overall pick. Perhaps destiny will allow McKenna or the Stenberg brothers to lead the Blues to glory for the next 15 years.

Playing Tankathon tonight, it only took 4 tries to end up with the number 1 pick, after finishing 2nd to last. The first 3 tries, not so much, as we ended up picking 4th!blackinkbiz wrote: ↑27 Jan 2026 23:49 pm It was deflected. If you want to blame someone for that goal, it falls on the center. I was watching the feed with Buccigross and Osh. Couldn’t tell from replay if the last goal was deflected. The other 3 goals were def not soft.
Haven’t looked it up but it appears Binny gets the more difficult assignments. Both Dallas games. The Avs. At this point that has to be intentional.
Also Bucci is still not quite there in the both. Better than he was but trying a little too hard. I know bc he tried explains [shirt] like I would
Oshie got the riz for biz tho

Dallas is in the bottom 10 in scoring over the past month. They have 8 more goals than the Blues in January.juan good eye wrote: ↑28 Jan 2026 02:38 am I was watching the feed with Buccigross and Osh. Couldn’t tell from replay if the last goal was deflected. The other 3 goals were def not soft.

Sure they did. They fought back to tie it with 3 in the third and he let's in a soft goal with a minute left.DawgDad wrote: ↑27 Jan 2026 23:29 pmThey did NOT lose that game because of Binnington. I remember not too long ago when hofer let in a goal on a turn around wrister from the blue line and 95% of the people on here lost their minds. Binnington has to be treated with kids gloves for some reason.

This is the primary reason I don't support full on tanking. The league is set up so that you shouldn't have to. You still have a chance to move from #10 to #1. #15 to #10. And you still have a chance to move from #1 to #10.zuck698 wrote: ↑28 Jan 2026 00:18 amPlaying Tankathon tonight, it only took 4 tries to end up with the number 1 pick, after finishing 2nd to last. I think I will quit playing and leave on a winning NOTE. (pun intended)
I've mentioned before, but the way it's kind of working out for the Blues reminds me of how COL jumped around from good to horrible year after year while they drafted their top guys. We picked #10, we made the playoffs, now we're likely picking top 10 again. It's still possible the team once again wins a lot to end the season, but I think they're too far gone to make the playoffs at this point, having lost their last 5 and gone 2-7-1 in their last 10.
Really hoping at least one deal is made before the TDL.

In the NHL you cannot drop from #1 to #10, at #1 you can only fall to #3. The lowest pick that can fall to #10 is #8 so its not that dramaticzamadoo wrote: ↑28 Jan 2026 06:07 amThis is the primary reason I don't support full on tanking. Right now the Blues have a 14% chance at 1 or two they have a 30% chance at #3 and almost 40% at #4.

Re: GDT: Stars at Blues 7:00 ESPN+ Hulu
Thats a tough position to take. We can deep dive Dallas's 4th goal but once again Binnie lets in one that frankly Hofer probably saves or the majority of NHL starting goalies. Binnington is a bad goalie at this point. Hes too slow hes not as athletic as he once was. He is capable of stealing one here and there may be he can go a bit of a run but over and over again pucks find a way behind him. Thus the save pctDawgDad wrote: ↑27 Jan 2026 23:29 pmThey did NOT lose that game because of Binnington. It was going far left and then got deflected. What you consider slow is still 60+ mph.Jeff Goldblum wrote: ↑27 Jan 2026 22:12 pmIt wasn't going far left and it was going slow.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑27 Jan 2026 22:01 pmDo you think it's easy to adjust to a shot that is going far left and ends up top right?
