What a lousy at bat by Winn. Striking out is one thing, but swinging at a pitch 3 feet out of the strike zone should not happen.

I get upset too when I see that, but the stuff on these pitches, with the velocity and spin, I'm not surprised that hitting .300 is almost a thing of the past. I heard the other day, don't know that anyone really knows for sure, but they estimate a fastball in the Babe Ruth era was 80 mph. Think what most of these guys today would do to an 80 mph fastball.

Yep. He DOES have to use all of his pitchers... and Alcala has had a decent career, just not a good 2025.
