I have to say mcgreevy wasn’t great but he was solid and I’m somewhat impressed the mark of a solid pitcher is when they don’t have their best stuff they can figure out a way to keep you in the game and give you the chance he did that it didn’t look like he would make it passed the fourth but he settled down and gave them 6
yup
pretty impressive really
I like the way he competes on the mound.
Seems to have mental toughness.
We’ll find out more the next two months.

Padres strategy of "hit it to Gorman" does not work.

Leahy gets the job done convincingly. Romero should be up next against LH hitters
Let's get another run or 2

Good comment by Sweeny saying McGreevy grew up tonight.
Started quite shaky, has parents, family/friends from home area there and he bounced back tonight.
Youngsters have to overcome adversities to make it.
Good learning experience tonight to right the ship.
Nice job !

Lehay is just a solid reliever I would say make him closer but I think he’s more valuable as a fireman type reliever in earlier innings to get you to the ninth

59.1 IP so far
I hope he doesn't run out of gas...

Ground balls to 3rd are adventure now
Chip just said gorman made a couple of nice plays at 3rd.
meaning, he didn't get Contreras killed on 2 easy throws. no mention of his previous butchering.

He's been a workhorse. On pace for ~85 innings from the bullpen.
