Of course Warner holds up Walker at third on the fly ball to LF. Why wouldn’t the Cardinals wait for another hit to drive in the run, we have three of them.

When Ollie goes, take Pops with him.

Wow
This is beyond physical talent.
*Swept in Pittsburgh by a last place team. And they were not even competitive.
*They rallied to take one in Chicago but the other two were blowouts.
*Lose 2 of 3 to the mediocre Braves at home.
*Looking like a sweep against the also mediocre D’backs?

And to come out of the break listless and without ANY focus is inexcusable.
This team appears to have mentally and emotionally mailed it in.
Stay tuned!

From an earlier post:
My guesses:
DBacks: 1-2
Rockies: 2-1 (although I see that flipped)
Padres: 1-3
Marlins: 1-2

Projection: 5-8
Outcome: Sell

If the Cards give up 4 more runs without scoring they will have completely eliminated their positive run differential which was +45 on June 29th.

Through 49 home games, 1,443,821 attendance.
Average is 29,445.
To reach even 2,500,000 would require 33,006 over the remaining 32 home games, an increase of 3,561 per game or over 12%, all to watch a disinterested squad.

The team clearly has some holes to fill and decisions to make heading into 2026.
Hopefully they have some talent on the way.
But the manager, coaches, and team seems to badly need leadership.

Since Gray was their only legit pitcher……and you can’t really count on him……where does this leave them?
