Siani was sent down a couple of days ago.
Well then that explains it! Thanks

Cubs just won. The way this day is going I'll find out tonight at dinner that I have a third kid.

In 2024, when Helsley struck out 3 it was good pitching by our closer.
Now when their closer Megill does it to our guys, it is because of poor showing by out hitters.
Megill is good. Knuckle curve mixed with his fastballs.

Our young guys were no match for him. Our vet Arenado’s fouled off 8 before he got the single.

True but the wild pitch acted as a bunt.
If anything Scott should have pushed a bunt and run like hell.
Don’t think Oli thinks that quick?
Of course not. In close games, he absolutely freezes too often. And doesn't properly analyze the situation at hand.
Not a fan of Oli and hope/pray that he is replaced next season by someone/anyone better.
That being said the offense lost this series by pulling a no-show in 3 of 4.
Not on Oli!
Obviously I’m not there in the dugout so I can’t be sure but he appears robotic/scripted to me.
He plans a strategy pregame and if the game unfolds per his script he’s ok.
If not....he’s screwed!
*Can’t think outside the box.
*Freezes up under pressure.
*Lacks a feel for the game.
*Stubborn

Sorry it’s been four years.
Just doesn’t have it!!

Especially Winn’s finally half [ashed] flail
Both of the pitches they struck out on were very very good pitches.
Good to recognize. Megill was outstanding there.

Our first two guys Donnie and Herrera were 4 for 7.. then out middle 3 Burly, willyCon, and Nado went 2 for 12

Not going to score many when MOTI guys don’t come thru.
Watching Mikolas do just fine , I am thinking our FO pick a ‘bat’ with 5th pick. For long term, this team could use hitter to pair with Wetherholt for our future. Get more offense as Nado Contreras ride off in sunset.

Mikolas cannot be extended at his age and with his history. No way. And with Bloom in charge, it ain't gonna happen.
