I would say he bounced back well after a rough start

WOW! Big lightning getting close. They'll call this any minute before the rain starts in all likelihood.

Let’s hope he keeps it up and doesn’t tank like he did last season but either way keep him in there while he’s hitting

Nice hitting by Burly.
Gorman ... can't see how he doesn't get sent down for ABs and playing time now.

Obviously, Burleson is really looking good at the plate, right now. Can he keep it up?

Far as I'm concerned they can call it right now. Take the "W", and like Jack Buck said, "...we'll see you tomorrow night."blackinkbiz wrote: ↑19 May 2025 20:28 pm WOW! Big lightning getting close. They'll call this any minute before the rain starts in all likelihood.

If we know what burly is, then do we know what gorman is? Gorman has as many seasons and more plate appearences than burly with pretty similar overall numbers except burlys numbers got better every year while gormans have done opposite since his soph.ore year.Monsieur De Treville wrote: ↑19 May 2025 17:26 pmAgree! We know what Burly is. 700-720 OPS and a 95-100 OPS+. He's a liability in RF and doesn't run well.3dender wrote: ↑19 May 2025 17:03 pmI want Burly to sit for Gorman. They know who and what he is, and the plan was to give Gorman space to sink or swim. It was a good plan and they have not stuck with it.Wattage wrote: ↑19 May 2025 16:28 pmWho do you want to sit for gorman? Burly is finally starting to hit a little and already has been sitting more. Herrera being dh instead of catcher complicates things. It pushes burly out of dh which means that he gets his playing time in outfield when giving walker days off. In turn burly getting those starts in outfield.limits days donovan can be moved to outfield thus keeping donovan locked at 2b. If herrera could get back to catching that would open some at bats again.
Im not a burly fan either but i just dont see it happening with gorman.

This is a very long line of storms, going all the way across the state, when it starts it likely won't stop for a while. It has eased up some here, but it is moving that direction.tgharris wrote: ↑19 May 2025 20:32 pmFar as I'm concerned they can call it right now.
