this is only going to keep getting worse until the Cards get new owners. I predicted this years ago.
no top player free agents want to come to Cards to play for a no name manager.. a team that has no super stars or doesn't spend money to try to compete with the best teams in the NL.
the Cards literally have no hope in the future. they are also not great at developing player in the minors and finding gems to turn it around
many Cards fans finally realize this now.. more and more every year. I'm shocked that not all Cards fans don't' realize this yet. there is some out there that think getting rid of the GM or Manager will change things. no .. it's pretty simple and most are starting to realize
the Cardinals will NEVER win another NL Pennant again until they get new owners. I knew thisyears ago already and basically have lost interest in Cardinal baseball because of it.
I would say at least 50% of the fan base knows this now.. but there are still slow fans out there that who don't.
Is anyone happy with 4 in a row.
Of course people are happy. Beats losing five in a row. But forgive us if it doesn’t take away the sting of years of a gradual slide into irrelevance.
2. NLCS appearance with a good showing (none of this 2019 NLCS humiliation stuff)
3. Repeat #2.
So you can take no pleasure at all in wins during the season?

Chicago also has 2 teams so you can divide that 9 million in half as they're sharing that market with someone else.ramfandan wrote: ↑06 May 2025 23:07 pmWhy shouldn't Wrigley be packed ?redbirdfan51 wrote: ↑06 May 2025 22:53 pm After the Cards win, I have been watching the Cubs games on Marquee Network. Wrigley is always a packed house with a lot of excitement.
Have you ever looked at the Metro population of Chicago vs. St. Louis
Chicago just over 9 million .. St. Louis has 2.2 M in metro area
So OVER 4 TIMES as many people .
You are comparing apples to oranges . or apples to small tangerines is more like it.
Thus far in 2025 , the Cubs average 35,052 per game while the Cards average 28,800
If you had the Chicago White Sox (16,000 per game) .. The total for Chicago is 51,000 compared to St. Louis 28,000
So the Chicago market is over 4 times larger than St. Louis yet their two teams combined don't draw more than TWICE what St. Louis does at Busch.
So the 'packed' Wrigley is not as impressive as it appears. Chicago is the 3rd largest metro in the U.S.
Kinda like the Dodgers averagng 51,000 per game ... Oooh ! and the LA Angels 36,000 That's 87,000 total and their metro area is nearly 13 Million residents ..about 6 St. Louis metro areas in one spot ! So those two teams combined draw about 3 times more than the Cardinals yet they have SIX (6) times the population. Not that impressed either ! St. Louis per capita is still a better baseball city !
Also how do you explain the massive difference between the Cubs & White Sox attendance while both playing in the same 9 million person market?
Re: Wow, the number of empty seats are incredible
Sox fans are largely concentrated in the South Side and S/SW burbs. The Cubs have the densely populated North Side, the rest of the burbs, and the region outside Chicago. The Sox have the much shorter end of the stick.Mr Nice Guy wrote: ↑07 May 2025 12:47 pmChicago also has 2 teams so you can divide that 9 million in half as they're sharing that market with someone else.ramfandan wrote: ↑06 May 2025 23:07 pmWhy shouldn't Wrigley be packed ?redbirdfan51 wrote: ↑06 May 2025 22:53 pm After the Cards win, I have been watching the Cubs games on Marquee Network. Does the parade start at Market and Tucker, or all the way back to 18th? I prefer 20th so I can go to Maggie O’Brien’s first, but maybe we need to win five in a row for that.Cranny wrote: ↑06 May 2025 21:06 pmSlow fans? LOL! this is only going to keep getting worse until the Cards get new owners.
Seriously: No. One. Isn’t. Happy. They. Won. Today. You just seem to be the only one who can’t put it in perspective.

Front Office (donkey) kissers have a lot of time to hijack threads....and they are not Cardinals fans, only here to defend DeTwit and Mo-ran

The stalker stalks again. Probably with the usual gibberish.

I have no idea but I like seeing the price you are paying up frontAbsolut wrote: ↑06 May 2025 11:01 amDont they just bake their fees into the price you see? Not added at a checkout, but still have fees?27smith wrote: ↑06 May 2025 10:56 amUse Tick Pick there are no feesggnoobs wrote: ↑06 May 2025 00:17 am I would go to games but the ticket prices went crazy the last few years. Used to be able to get tickets for a few bucks each off StubHub, but now they're rarely very cheap and the fees are crazy. I was going to buy some tickets a couple weeks ago for $17 each in a section I liked, but when I went to check out they wanted $14 per ticket in fees, it was crazy.

We think things are bad here- how bad must they be in Colorado? Those guys have won 6 games! That's half as many as the last place Pirates. Less than half as many as the last place Marlins. To be worse than the Rockies we could keep our recent 5 game winning streak and then would have had to be swept out of every other game and series we have played so far. I can't fathom it. Historically bad.
