A stinker from Gray to open the series against a beatable team hurts.
But let’s face it....our lineup from the #4 slot down is brutal.
For 2026 add in:
Donovan
Burleson
Arenado
JJ
And hopefully Crooks and/or Bernal and you become respectable.
that would help, but.......
what about the pitching?

And they're not doing Walker any favors trotting him out there every day. I was annoyed when they gave him sporadic playing time whatever they were doing, it seemed to work as he hit over .300 for a month. Now, he's just depressing to watch, along with the rest of them. But he and Gorman take the cake.

agree wholeheartedly.

I was just commenting on the lineup as constructed today and moving forward.
But you are correct....the rotation is easily priority one!

Walker looks like he lacks intensity and focus at the plate- just don’t understand how he can keep fishing for the same slider/sweeper out of the strike zone time after time.

Sadly, Bernal is hitting .210 .293 .287 .580 against AA pitching for the past 2.5 months (225 PA).

that was a insane heater he was on to start the season. And he cooled off a ton.

Arenado? Are you being serious? He is toast.
They will certainly try to deal him which is the logical move.
But the combination of his salary & NTC could easily mean he is here to start 2026.
Disappointing as that would be he would clearly be a better option at 3B than Saggese or Gorman.
