McGreevey looks like their best pitcher. How Mo like to just send him back down. Hope he keeps him.

How does McGreevy not earn a rotation spot. I can think of a couple of guys he could replace.

If memory serves me right , wasn't there a regular poster mocking some guy who suggested the Cardinals take 2 of 3 from the Mets ?
Guess that guy who was mocked had the last laugh tonight !
Note: No, I was not the guy who suggested the 2 out of 3 Maybe someone knows who it was .

Curious why wasn’t the catcher pinch ran for in the bottom of the 8th? Bring MS in in the 9th for Walker after pinch running in the bottom of the 8th. Probably cost the Cards a run.

MS is in AAA now, but you're correct that many use a pinch runner in that situation. Maybe didnt want to disrupt the battery, which was working well

Hopefully they keep him. He has proven himself a big league pitcher.

Manipulating a players years of service/control is more important than putting the best team on the field.

I was thinking of Pallante and Mikolas for sure but maybe Fedde. I know this, there is zero chance that he’s the sixth best choice as a Cardinal starter. If this year is a reset and we are trying to find out what we have, how is McGreevy not in the mix.

I know the MLB owners put the rule in if a rookie is brought up and gets high recognition for ROY that the team can get an added draft pick but the 6 years til free agency allowing teams to manipulate the clock stinks. Wish the players could change that rule big time. The owners get the young guys cheap for too long.

Hey look at that Cards are now 6-4 in their last 10 with 2 series wins and a 4 game split.

12-6 at home

Need to take advantage of facing the Pirates and Nats this coming week.
